Job Description:

The Nurse performs duties concerned with the care of the sick and injured, prevention of illness, and promotion of good health.

Job Functions include:

Coordinate medical care and treatment for students by providing information on how to access health care and provide referral to health care providers.

Provide extensive health and wellness education and information.

Render first aid treatment and assist physician in treating serious accidents or illnesses.

Collect urine and blood specimens.

Prepare and administer medications and drugs.

Monitor students with chronic care management.

Conduct designated health services special programs as assigned.

Other related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements (Education, Experience, Professional Associations):

Valid LPN or RN license with two years experience dealing directly with youth.

Valid state drivers license and acceptable driving record.

Must possess and maintain CPR and First Aid certification.

Experience in drawing blood.
