We are seeking a professional who has knowledge and experience in Payroll Tax and has a desire to jump in head first to understand how we operate at Nike---a team member who can collaborate with us, from the beginning, to improve our processes--please do not be afraid to ask questions and speak your mind! We are a matrixed organization with complexity inherent in how we are set up and operate. This individual should be interested in being challenged intellectually and someone who wants to be a valued active member of the team. By nature of the role, you should consider compliance to be your top priority, followed by a customer service mentality. The candidate needs to have analytical skills and the ability to test functional system improvements, system updates and integrations related to payroll tax. We are looking for someone who can balance multiple commitments while maintaining data accuracy---we run to the finish line! WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

If this is you, you will support the end to end seamless payroll processing for the US from a payroll tax perspective. For example, you will assist in the daily operational activities from extracting daily tax liabilities from SAP and sending to our payroll partner for processing and remittance, setting up new tax jurisdictions and reviewing and approving tax agency notices. You will also respond to ServiceNow cases from our employees and other teams, partner with our tax provider to ensure timely filing of our periodic tax filings, process W2s and W2Cs, proactively auditing our state tax panels to minimize tax issues for employees and participate in Year End activities. WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

You will partner with the other members of the Payroll Tax Team, the Payroll Operations Team, the Payroll Accounting Team and the Compliance Tax Team and will report to the Americas Payroll Tax & Accounting Manager. You will also have an opportunity to partner cross-functionally with a variety of leadership groups, including but not limited to various Accounting Groups. WHAT YOU BRING


  • 2-5 years in multi-state Payroll Tax required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or Finance with an emphasis in Accounting preferred
  • Advanced computer skills using Excel, Smartsheet and Microsoft Word
  • SAP, Spinifex, Workday and ADP/SmartCompliance software experience is strongly preferred.
