program starts with early intervention at the elementary level,
bridges the learning gap for middle school, and helps students
thrive and plan for bright futures during high school. During the
schoolyear, Camp Fire works in partnership with dozens of schools
in the Metro Area. During the summer months, we offer summer camps
in the Portland metro area and at our beautiful 552-acre camp, Camp
Namanu, bordered by the vibrant Sandy River and presided over by
century old trees. Our programs directly serve over 4,000 kids ages
5- 18 each year across an nine-county area, including programming
in Clackamas, Multnomah, Yamhill and the greater Portland metro
region. Camp Fire Columbia helps serve an additional 11,000
children and families annually through partnerships and special

the CEO and serving as an integral member of the management team,
the Director of Finance and Administration will be responsible for
the leadership of Camp Fire financial and administrative functions.
Finance responsibilities include: budget development and oversight,
fiscal process and accounting systems oversight, financial
reporting and forecasting, and audits. Administrative
responsibilities include: oversight and management of employee
safety, organizational risk management, technology and data
systems, policy development and facilities. The Director of Finance
and Administration works with the CEO, Development and program team
on strategic business development initiatives including business
plan development and market analysis for fee-based programs.
Requirements: Essential Duties &Responsibilities: 1. This role
will come in contact with students, campers, visitors, vendors and
employees. Each of these persons may have visible and invisible

speech to all. 2. Contributes to the development of Camp Fire
Columbia's strategic goals and objectives as well as the overall
management of the organization. 3. Leads Camp Fire Columbia in
financial planning and management, investment priorities, and
policy matters. 4. Maintains and continually improves a fiscal
operations system that is suitable for the organization's finances,
grants and contracts and that supports the development and
management of budgets and production of reports and analyses. Job
Duties: Organization Leadership --- Ensures organization assets are
properly safeguarded. --- Coordinator of, and participation in,
Finance Committee meetings. --- Participates as a member of the
Management Team and provides regular communication and information
to the Management Team related to program, policy & strategy,
successes & challenges. --- Serves as a management liaison to the
Board and committees; effectively communicate and present critical
organization matters at select Board of Directors and committee
meetings. --- Maintains relationships with financial institutions
and other applicable vendors. --- Promote a culture of high
performance and continuous improvement that values learning and a
commitment to quality. Financial Planning, Analysis, and Reporting
--- Maintains accounting and fiscal management policies and
procedures. --- Enhances and supervises accounting and audit and
internal control functions. --- Execute and oversee monthly
financial close process including the creation and posting of
journal entries and reconciliations. --- Oversees preparation of
monthly financial statements for the CEO, Board of Directors, and
management staff. --- Forecasts and manages cash flow for
organization. Manage entities cash flow including forecasting
future net cash balances --- Oversees financial grant requests,
reporting and billing. --- Accountable for all account
reconciliations happening on a monthly basis. --- Periodically
reviews and implements investment policy with Finance Committee.
--- Oversees investments and accounts, or investment firms, as
determined by the board. --- Complete trend and variance analysis
and report findings to CEO --- Manage and ensure proper tracking
and reporting by organization on all sources of revenue. Budget &
Fiscal Operations --- Develops and manages budget and annual
program plans to include regular analysis and projections to ensure
organizational success, conservative stewardship of resources, and
mission impact. --- Researches and remains informed about all
applicable accounting, and fiscal management laws, rules, and
requirements to ensure that the organization is in full compliance.
--- Oversees and prepares for annual audits and 990 tax return. ---
Reviews timber tax returns and state annual reports. --- Oversees,
directs and organizes the work of the finance team. --- Performs or
supervises all reconciliations including bank accounts. Business
Admin and Operations --- Supervises admin and finance teams. ---
Act as back-up on semi-monthly payroll. --- Negotiate and maintain
adequate insurance coverage for organization. --- Negotiate
purchase and/or sale of agency property --- Ensure adequate
disaster recovery, business continuity, and employee safety and
security procedures. --- Oversee IT security and administration ---
Oversee operations for multiple properties/ facilities. Business
and Fund Development --- Provides leadership around business
modeling for focused program areas that maintains organizational
and programmatic sustainability as well as creates balance between
investment in systems and fundraising/revenue streams. Other Job
Duties --- Through external relations and community outreach,
creates opportunities and develops partnerships to further Camp
Fire's mission, strategic plans, and/or business objectives. ---

most exceptional and high impact youth-serving organizations;
leverages that success to attract and retain the highest quality
staff and volunteers. --- Supports the mission, purpose and
leadership of Camp Fire and projects a positive image of Camp Fire.

Maintains punctual, regular and predictable attendance. --- Works
collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation.
--- Displays excellent communication skills including presentation,
persuasion, and negotiation skills required in working with
coworkers, volunteers, parents, and contractors; including the
ability to communicate effectively and remain calm and courteous

--- Other duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities:
Directly supervises employees on the Finance, Admin, and Operations
teams (3 FTE). Carries out supervisory responsibilities in
accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training
employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising
performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing
