Accounting ManagerOur local non-profit client seeks a mission-driven Accounting Manager to join their team! The ideal candidate is a natural leader who is enjoys a collaborative approach.Accounting Manager ResponsibilitiesOversee month end activities ensuring timeliness, accuracy, and GAAP compliance.Provide direct supervision to a team of 4 accounting staff.Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and allocations.Prepare financial statements for each department.Gather documentation for audits.Provide back-up support for payroll processing.Accounting Manager QualificationsBachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.Prior non-profit, government, senior living, or project-based accounting experience preferred.5+ years of progressive accounting experience with strong knowledge of GAAP, GL functions, and month end processes.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact at all levels of a collaborative and people focused organization.Proficiency with ERP systems and intermediate to advanced Excel skills.Salary: $85-$90k (DOE)BenefitsBenefits are available to eligible full-time employees and include coverage for medical, dental, vision, life insurance, long term disability, FSA, HSA, 401k, and an employee assistance program (EAP).About VanderHouwenVanderHouwen is an award-winning, Women-Owned, WBENC certified professional staffing firm.
