ABOUT NORPAC FOODS: NORPAC, a farmer-owned cooperative founded in 1924, grows, harvests, processes, and distributes high quality, healthy, frozen vegetables (non-GMO), fruits and soups. Our farms are located on over 35,000 acres in the Pacific Northwest. We employ 1,200 full-time employees and 2,000 seasonal employees during the processing season. BASIC RESPONSIBILITY:This is a full time position responsible for aggressively pursuing payment on past due and full open invoices; researching legitimacy of deductions and negotiating resolution or repayment to resolve all outstanding balances on customer accounts. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Call full open invoices for status of payment.Promptly gather, organize, and prepare information and reports for various departments and management.Memo new deductions received from Cash Receipts daily and identify the reason for unpaid balances - analyze and validate customer claims.Negotiate with customers, brokers, and sales department personnel as necessary for information, documents, approvals or repayment in resolution of deductions.Prepare specified documents to submit credit/debit memo invoicing instructions to Accounts Receivable for processing.Prepare reports on unresolved balances and forward to management.Organize and prioritize work load to meet required deadlines and assume new projects as assigned.Other duties as assigned. -- QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS: Six months of accounting, invoicing, or collection work preferred.High level of effective communication skills, both verbal and written.Computer skills to include Word, Excel. Computer keyboarding by touch. 10 key by touch.Ability to prioritize, multi task, and work independently with minimum direction.Self-starter with good analytical and problem solving skills.Applicants must have a high school diploma, GED or equivalent skill and experience.Able to handle sensitive information in a precise and confidential manner.Good organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
