Job Description:
All Classical Radio seeks a dynamic, detail-oriented Development
and Volunteer Coordinator who will oversee scheduling and project
supervision for volunteers, and support development/fundraising
duties and community engagement initiatives. The Development and
Volunteer Coordinator is a key member of All Classical Radio’s
development team and will assist with day-to-day aspects of
development/fundraising including donation processing, data entry,
donor correspondence and support, mailings preparation,
fundraisers, and special events. The Coordinator is the primary
liaison for station volunteers and is responsible for stewarding
relationships with the organization’s volunteers to help guide
recruitment, projects, schedules, and relationship-building. The
Coordinator will play an essential role in fulfilling All Classical
Radio’s vision and initiatives. The ideal candidate must be a
highly organized self-starter who can lead and collaborate with
diverse stakeholders. The successful Coordinator will bring
excellent communication and interpersonal skills and enjoy working
with a highly functioning team of exceptional colleagues. This is
an in-person / in-office position which will require some early
morning, evening, and weekend hours. All Classical Radio is one of

the heart of Portland, OR. The station serves nearly a quarter of a
million local listeners in Oregon and SW Washington and millions of
listeners worldwide via mobile app and online streaming. You will

strengths of this vibrant radio station, carrying out All Classical
Radio’s mission to build a cultural community and provide access to
the arts for all. All Classical Radio’s newly built headquarters in
KOIN Tower in downtown Portland brings unprecedented opportunity to
involve community members in this service, fortifying All Classical
as a pillar of the arts ecosystem. Pay is competitive and dependent
upon qualifications and experience. The expected salary range is
$21.28/hr. - $25.04/hr. Generous benefits package includes: 100%
employer paid health insurance (medical, dental, vision) for
employees and their spouses/partners/ dependents; 2% 401(k)
employer match; starting PTO of up to 29 days per year. This
position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement. Resume

calls or drop-ins please. Requirements Development and Donor
Support (50%) Donation processing and data entry in fundraising CRM
including processing checks, online and phone donations, direct
deposit gift entries, recurring Sustaining gifts, in kind and
vehicle donations. Weekly donor acknowledgement preparation and
execution, including data review, letter merging/printing, envelope
preparation, assembly, and volunteer delegation. Conduct CRM donor
data reporting and maintenance routinely and by request to ensure
accuracy and integrity of donor records and donor behavior
tracking. Field incoming listener and donor support phone calls and
emails and proactively communicate with donors as needed for donor
support and relationship building. Participate in rotating on-call
schedule, generally to include 4-6 weekend hours monthly dedicated
to responding to listener/donor inquiries, and special projects as
requested. On-call duties may be fulfilled remotely. Provide on-air
fundraiser support, including morning, evening, and weekend hours.
Help the fundraising team plan and execute in-person donor and
community-building events such as open houses, dinners, concerts,
etc. Periodically represent the station at external/community
events. Volunteer Coordination and Oversight (40%) Oversee all
volunteer scheduling including front desk reception, weekly live in
studio concert broadcast Thursdays @ Three audience and logistics
management, seasonal and ongoing projects, and special events.
Screen, onboard, and train volunteers, including monitoring and
responding to inquiries and conducting interviews; collecting
required paperwork; identifying appropriate tasks and projects;
executing training and regular retraining; maintaining all
handbooks and training materials; maintaining working knowledge of
all key volunteer tasks. Maintain accurate volunteer records
including but not limited to maintaining contact information and
skills/interests in CRM, tracking and reporting on volunteer
activities, and maintaining required paperwork and records.
Recommend, propose to management, and execute volunteer recruitment
activities such as including but not limited to surveying staff for
projects, identifying/recommending new projects,
recommending/executing recruitment. Cover the role of front desk
receptionist when volunteers are unavailable. Oversee volunteer
committees, such as the Community Advisory Group (meets quarterly),
including leading regular and special meetings, tracking
attendance, recording and providing meeting notes, recruitment,
etc. Other duties as assigned. Community Relations, Marketing, and
Miscellaneous (10%) Lead station tours following Thursdays @ Three
broadcasts, and by request/as scheduled. Maintain familiarity with
key Marketing communication channels including social media
inquiries for coverage or on call duties as needed. Participate in
proofreading as requested on Marketing and communications
materials. Maintain up to date inventory of all development,
communications, and administrative supplies pertinent to department
and job duties including but not limited to letterhead, envelopes,
postcards, etc. Participate in gift shop order fulfillment and
conduct/oversee regular merchandise inventory and reporting
Required Qualifications and Functions A minimum of three years of
professional experience working with diverse communities in
public-facing, customer service roles. Familiarity and experience
with any constituent-based database/CRM. Capacity to learn new
systems and processes quickly and accurately, with extremely high
attention to detail. Experience scheduling, supervising, and
recruiting volunteers. Experience leading meetings and/or group
work. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, effectively manage time
and deadlines, adapt to shifting priorities, and proactively solve
problems, working both independently and collaboratively.
Professional, friendly, positive, and enthusiastic; a hard worker
demonstrating reliability, creativity, and a commitment to
excellence. Ability to actively seek and incorporate constructive
feedback into workflow. Available and willing to work evenings and
weekends as needed including fundraisers, special projects, and
events. Displays excellent written and verbal communication skills
in working with diverse internal and external stakeholders,
including the ability to remain calm and courteous under pressure.
Demonstrates confidence in conveying All Classical Radio’s mission
and values, and ability to represent the station professionally and
authentically. Strong PC computer skills including proficiency with
Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, OneDrive, and CRM software. Commitment
to maintaining confidentiality as required in Company policies.
Preferred Qualifications College degree Significant experience with
donor-centric CRMs Knowledge/experience with marketing tools and
practices is a plus, such as WordPress web editing, Constant
Contact or other email management system, Adobe Creative Cloud
tools, Canva, video/photography capture/editing, social media
platforms Interest in and commitment to the core values of public
service media Knowledge, love of, and excitement for classical
music and the arts; background in music and art is a plus
Familiarity with nonprofit and arts organizations in
Portland/Pacific NW is a plus Physical requirements The physical
