These three divisions include Magnetic Solutions (discrete components, power transformers and MagJack - connectors with integrated magnetics), Power Solutions and Protection (AC-DC power supplies, DC-DC converters, custom designs, miniature, micro, surface mount and resettable fuses) and Connectivity Solutions (micro, circular, filtered D Sub, fiber optic, RF connectors, microwave components, passive jacks, plugs and cable assemblies). () is motivated by our customers' needs and focused on creating ease of access to power supply products and information that help drive an engineer's design. Our goal is to improve the way power products are purchased today and into the future. Originally starting out as a company that sold oscilloscopes and electromechanical components, we began designing and selling power supplies as a side project. The side project grew over the years into a portfolio of ac-dc power supplies and dc-dc converters. Today we are proud to offer an extensive line of power products to our global customer base that serve the consumer, IoT, industrial, and medical industries. Primary Objective of the Position The primary objective of the Product Compliance Engineer is to successfully manage safety certifications for the organization and become an expert in regulatory compliance for all products. Job Responsibilities:

  • Establishes certification requirements for CUI suppliers (Safety, EMC, Energy)
  • Guides suppliers to negotiate agency cost
  • Maintains and tracks agency approvals
  • Develops & maintains annual supplier audit schedule
  • Responsible for CE, UKCA, Morocco declarations
  • Stays abreast with changes to Safety, EMC and Energy regulations and reviews the impact to CUI products and proactively works with Product Managers to implement changes as needed
  • Develops and provides training to CUI suppliers for new Safety, EMC, Energy requirements
  • Helps suppliers process international approvals to reduce cost
  • Reviews all Test reports and certificates from suppliers and works with the appropriate agency to correct missing items on the test report or certificate
  • Maintains professional rapport with key personnel at agency sites
  • Interfaces with customers with respect to safety agency questions
  • Provides compliance guidance to Sales and Marketing departmentsWork Opportunity Bel will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States.     • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required
    • Minimum of 3 years' experience obtaining product safety certification for power conversion equipment required
    • Experience with EMC and/or Energy regulations preferredTechnical Requirements:
      • In-depth working knowledge of UL/CSA 60601, EN/ IEC60601, UL/CSA 62368-1, EN/IEC 62368 safety standards
      • In-depth working knowledge of CCC, BSMI, KCC, Argentina, BIS, EAC approval process
      • Maintains up today/current knowledge of emerging safety standards, monitors trends
      • Ability to adapt quickly to changing agency requirements, assess and communicate changes to stakeholders
      • Excellent laboratory/technical skills
      • Possesses excellent critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills
      • Ability to communicate and interface effectively with all internal and external customers, agency auditors, etc.
      • Advanced computer skills, including MS Office and database applications
      • Possesses excellent verbal/written communication skills
