Responsibilities:Coherent Laser Systems and Measurement (LSM)
designs and manufactures precision solid state lasers for
scientific, medical, instrumentation and vision markets, as well as
calibrated laser measurement systems for a wide variety of laser
type and power applications. The business provides critical

opportunities.Key Skills: Software and Data Acquisition
- Experienced in creating and maintaining LabVIEW applications
for use in a manufacturing environment for product data
acquisition, equipment control and interfacing with databases
- Perform test station and test software validation, and GR&R
studies.
- Able to work collaboratively in a manufacturing environment to
implement LabVIEW code for new and updated processes
- Able to work with operators and technicians to improve
efficiency of software user interfaces
- Able to document LabVIEW coding as well as update work
instructions for operators and technicians
- Able to support legacy software and roll out new or updated
applications across several global locations
- Experience with programming skills, other than LabVIEW, for
test stations, automated data acquisition and/or equipment control
within manufacturing processes (e.g., dot Net, Visual Basic etc.)

- Ability to troubleshoot electronic products at board and
schematic level
- Propose test instrument selection, monitoring, maintaining, and
recommending improvements for all stations to improve quality of
products.
- Understanding of electronics engineering concepts. Ability to
read and understand engineering schematics and theory of
operations.
- Experience with electronics manufacturing topics, such as
component engineering, ESD controls, assembly methods is a

- Strong self-starter with experience working on and leading
multiple projects with accountability and ownership.
- Willing and able to work both on longer term projects and fixes
for immediate issues
- Data analysis and reporting, able to use data gathering and
reporting tools to prepare informational reports and analyses.
- Structured problem solving and strong communication skills
- Effective procedure development and documentation skills
- Knowledge and understanding of design for manufacturability
across a variety of manufacturing processes.
- Hands-on experience with optical alignment, opto-mechanical
assembly, and test, including the use of optical and electrical
photonics test equipment is a plus.
- Experience with current Manufacturing Engineering
best-practices is a plus
- Experience with Calibration Lab Management and Uncertainty of
Measurements is a plus
- Experience working with Oracle MRP/ERP is a plusMajor
Tasks:
- Provide test engineering support for calibration, data
acquisition, software controls, maintenance and troubleshooting,
and training for manufacturing test stations.
- Provide electronics engineering troubleshooting support for
products and processes within manufacturing
- Provide ongoing assistance to improve product quality and
cost.
- Collaborate with design engineering and product engineering to
provide test/process engineering input for the release of new
products from design-phase into production.
- Review new product specifications and provide feedback on test
methodology and feasibility
- Maintain and improve existing test solutions through software
and/or hardware upgrades
- Diagnose and debug product and manufacturing issues with
corrective action implementation.
- Ensure the timely communication of assigned project progress
through a periodic formal presentation of key metrics, project
schedules and action item lists.
- Perform other tasks as requested and assigned in support of
business objectives.LI-JB1Education and Work Experience:
- 5+ years LabVIEW experience creating, upgrading, and
maintaining manufacturing test and calibration workstations
- B.S. or B.A. Engineering degree in software, Electronics, or
related Engineering disciplines
- 3-5 years experience with instrumentation and electronics
- Practical experience with computer-based test automation, data
acquisition, instrument control, motion control, and data
storage.
- Experience working with test and electrical equipment, such as
power meters, light detectors, integrating spheres, cameras,
current sources, voltage measurements, NI DAQ cards, oscilloscopes,
etc.
- Proficient programming in LabVIEW
