Everyday we apply our knowledge across water projects big and
small. We are seeking a confident Corrosion Control Engineer to
join our team in Corvallis, Oregon. Someone who can use their
knowledge of corrosion control techniques and apply them to today's
challenges. As a Corrosion Control Engineer, you will lead
corrosion control studies and designs including performing field
studies and tests, develop and designing corrosion control designs,
providing support during construction, and condition assessments of
water, wastewater, storage, and conveyance facilities. Working with
other members of our team, you'll use your skills and experience in
cathodic protection, protective coatings and linings, materials
selection, and condition assessments to support our projects. You
will also:
- Provide technology guidance and expertise for water,
wastewater, storage, and conveyance projects
- Support construction efforts and conduct field evaluations
- Actively support business development pursuits, where corrosion
control technology is often a differentiator
- Mentor staff associates within selected technology area and
supervises and reviews the work of others
- Maintain a close relationship with clients and track upcoming
project opportunities and collaborate on project pursuits At

other. Here's What You'll Need:
- Bachelors or Masters in Materials Science, Metallurgy,
Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- 6 to 8 years of corrosion control experience
- 2 to 3 years of integrity management experience preferred but
not required
- AMPP (NACE & SSPC) Certification
- Professional Engineering license preferred but not required
Ideally, you'll also have:
- Cathodic protection system planning, design, operation, and
analysis
- Protective coatings and linings specification, inspection, and
evaluation
- Materials selection including corrosion-resistant metals,
thermal plastics, and elastomers
- Buried pipeline corrosion control and assessment
- Water and wastewater treatment plant corrosion control
- Storage tank corrosion control
- Condition assessment of facilities affected by corrosion
- Technical writing proficiency
- Inline inspection and integrity management data analysis Jacobs
