The team of 100+ engineers are responsible to provide state of art, efficient tools for ECU SW community of Chassis System.Tooling Solutions includes ASCET, IDE Development, Design and Build Tools, SCM tools - TCM and Process Tools like IBM DOORS, IBM ALM(RTC, DNG, RQM, JRS...), HP ALM, DevOps tools which are developed with various technologies like Microsoft .NET, C#, Eclipse plugin, Python and IBM ALM solutions.A technology passionate enthusiastic senior associate who can mentor, coach and guide the technical team, provide strategic support to management and strengthen global partnership is needed.
    Business and strategic responsibility:
    - Technical and line responsibility of the team including responsibility of Q,C and D
    - Complete tool responsibility - from Requirements to Delivery
    - Technically, drive the Project towards milestone deliveries.
    - Planning, prioritization and tracking of development milestones as per project delivery timelines.
    - Meeting Business Plan targets: Best utilization of resources through optimized Resource deployment, Deployment Efficiency tracking, Invoicing and follow up.
    - Have entreprenuerial mindset and take the lead in tool introduction and solutions.
    - Strategic discussions with German counterparts on new age tooling solutions.
    - Alignment of Group to the Company Vision, Mission, strategy, and objectives within group
    - Contribution to department/section/organization goals & initiatives
    - Customer Satisfaction - delivery to Cost, Quality, and Schedule. Responsibility for Customers and business areas as assigned to respective group.
    - Support Tech Director in realizing business opportunities within the department and aid management with ideas and conceptualize the roadmap for achieving strategic targets.
    - Bring about modern methods and tools with market insights and market trends into Chassis System tool environment that keeps the Tools organization up to speed with the latest development trends and technical advancements made in engineering.
    - In addition perform project management activities such as planning, scheduling, tracking, resource balancing and optimization, control project risks, collect project data for metrics and publish KPIs, regular reporting, billing, project status reporting etc
    - Responsible for demand fullfilment and talent acquisition
    People:
    - Should be People manager with passion to lead with empathy.
    - Enagage with associates within group as defined by BGSW and enable their development.
    - Exhibit a great sense of content leadership.
    - Ensure goal deployment for each associate, provide periodic feedback and enable a high-performance culture in the team.
    - Mentor and coach the Specialists, Development team technically.
    - Engage and nurture associates to bring out best in them.
    - Uncover the entrepreneurial spirit of the team , nurture autonomous execution of tool development.
    - To facilitate and encourage people to engage more in organizational activities and initiatives.
    - Guide the team with their queries and establish standardized way of working
    - Conduct workshop and trainings to maintain the energy level of the team and alignment with objectives.
    - Upskill and reskill associates based on the need
    Interfaces and influencing:
    - Engagement with Tool users, have a continuous connect to understand their need
    - Connect with partners and counterparts through regular connects, project status reporting, escalation management.
    - Engagement with core platform teams for finding the right engineering tooling solutions for the project teams.
    - Engagement with higher management, Program managers, Leads and Directors to influence with highly convincing technical and tooling solutions.
    - Connect with resource vendors, define work packages,
    Process and Technology:
    - Support technology innovation strategy (including patents), knowledge management
    - Support corporate functions for process implementation, optimization, and improvements (feedback on lessons learned, etc)
    - Drive/support initiatives for improving quality of deliverables and process optimization
    - Should look for market trends in tool development, introduce and deploy latest technologies which enhances user experience and efficiency in SW development- B.E / B.Tech/ M.Tech - with 12 to 14+ years experience.
    - Strong working knowledge and experience on IBM Tools, Requirement engineering tools is must.
    - Experience in Technical leadership especially in Engg. Tool development with flair for technology.
    - Up-to-date knowledge of software applications, programming languages.
    - Should have strong result orientation and future focus
    - Understanding of best practices in the automotive industry towards tooling solutions.
    - Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
    - Experience in People management .
    - Extensive knowledge of strategic IT solutions and hands-on experience in software development methodologies and technologies.
    - Chassis System domain knowhow will be added advantage.
