Swing Shift Diesel Mechanic

We have an immediate opening for a reliable Diesel Mechanic to work in our Portland, OR shop.
This is a full-time position with competitive pay based on experience. Our chosen candidate will be eligible for our employee benefits package which includes medical/dental/vision, PTO, and 401k.
The right candidate will have an outgoing personality, likes to function as part of a team, is a self-starter, has a great attitude, notices the details, and values accuracy.

Position Responsibilities:
--- - - - -Experienced with making high-quality service repairs on class 8 diesel trucks to minimize comebacks
--- - - - -Maintain a safe work environment
--- - - - -Willing to work in all weather conditions including winter driving
--- - - - -Accurately diagnose and perform repairs on varies types of diesel trucks and trailing equipment
--- - - - -Must have strong knowledge of DOT regulations as well as ability to identify maintenance issues
--- - - - -Mechanics must have excellent customer service skills and maintain communication with leaders
--- - - - -Must be clean, organized, motivated and take pride in their work
--- - - - -Must be able to lift up to 75lbs or more
--- - - - -Maintain company vehicle and equipment
--- - - - -Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
--- - - - -Must have 49 CFR 396.19 and 396.25 certifications
--- - - - -Must have 2 years of experience in diesel truck repair either in a shop or in the field
--- - - - -High school diploma or equivalent required
--- - - - -Proficiency in the use of hand tools required
--- - - - -Must have your own tools
--- - - - -Must have a valid driver's license and be insurable
--- - - - -Class A CDL preferred but not required
--- - - - -Skilled with computers and paperwork for RO's
--- - - - -Able to quickly learn new programs and processes
--- - - - -Able to communicate professionally both verbally and in writing
--- - - - -Reliable and dependable with a strong attendance history

Compensation & Shift:
--- - - - -Full-time, Monday-Friday, swing shift position 2:30pm -11:00pm, 8-hour workday and 30-minute lunch
--- - - - -Starting wage of $32-$34 per hour depending on experience and qualifications
