Job Description Job Description Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for a Plant Electrician role in Vancouver, WA. Key Responsibilities: Plan new or modified installations to minimize waste, provide access for maintenance, and comply with local electrical codes. Prepare sketches or follow diagrams/blueprints to ensure proper installation of concealed wiring. Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble, and install electrical conduit. Pull, splice, and connect wiring to fixtures, control systems, and equipment. Install and maintain switches, relays, and circuit breaker panels. Test circuits with instruments such as ohmmeters and oscilloscopes to ensure safety and compatibility. Inspect and observe installed equipment to detect hazards and determine necessary adjustments or repairs. Repair or replace faulty electrical systems and components. Perform basic welding and cutting of steel structural members as needed. Initiate purchase orders for required parts and materials. Support plant operations with other duties as assigned. Qualifications: 3 years of commercial or industrial electrician experience. High school diploma or equivalent required. Journeyman Electrician License in Washington State preferred. Ability to read blueprints, diagrams, and technical documents. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work with minimal supervision. Forklift certification preferred (or willingness to train). Welding experience a plus. Work Environment: Exposure to moving mechanical parts, high places, and extreme non-weather heat. Occasional exposure to wet/humid conditions, fumes, airborne particles, chemicals, outdoor weather, extreme cold, and risk of electrical shock. Noise levels typically moderate to loud. Physical Demands: Frequent standing, walking, climbing, stooping, kneeling, and use of hands/arms. Regularly lift and move up to 50 lbs; occasionally up to 100 lbs.
