Position Overview: The High-Level Service Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining residential and light commercial HVAC systems at an expert level. This role requires advanced troubleshooting ability, clean documentation, and the ability to educate customers and present solutions professionally. Key Responsibilities Technical Expertise: Diagnose and repair gas furnaces, heat pumps, ductless systems, air handlers, AC units, and ventilation systems. Perform advanced electrical and refrigeration troubleshooting. Handle both standard and complex service calls with minimal oversight. Perform high-quality maintenance with full system documentation and recommendations. Install common service-level components (motors, boards, compressors, thermostats, drains, safeties, etc.). Customer Service & Sales: Communicate clearly with homeowners and present repair options with integrity. Build trust through accurate explanations and honest recommendations. Provide written estimates and document declined recommendations. Uphold high close-rates without pressure or gimmickssolution-based selling only. Operational Excellence: Maintain high billable efficiency and follow company-standard tasking/pricing. Fill out Service Titan (or other CRM) invoices thoroughly and professionally. Maintain a clean, fully stocked company vehicle. Follow all safety protocols and manufacturer specifications.
