Job Description Job Description We’re seeking a Structural Engineering Manager to guide a growing technical team delivering complex structural solutions across industrial and utility-focused projects. This role blends hands-on engineering judgment with people leadership, ensuring designs meet rigorous standards while mentoring the next generation of engineers. You’ll join a group known for solving tough structural challenges and maintaining a culture built on accountability and technical excellence. Key Responsibilities Lead and supervise a team of structural engineers and designers across multiple active projects Establish technical direction and review deliverables for compliance with applicable industry codes Oversee structural steel design strategies from concept through final documentation Support staffing, workload planning, and professional development of engineering personnel Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align structural scope with project goals Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering required Master’s degree preferred EIT or PE license preferred Strong background in structural engineering fundamentals and steel design Prior experience supervising or mentoring technical staff Familiarity with utility structure projects is a plus Working knowledge of PLS-POLE or PLS-CADD is a plus Ability to interpret and apply engineering codes and standards Equal Opportunity Statement Design Hire is proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity / Affirmative Action employer.
