Working closely with the Brand Marketing Director, the Brand Activation Manager will identify and execute strategic opportunities to activate our brand, in support of gaining new customers. This person must have experience successfully executing and leveraging sponsorships, managing to budget and creatively activating these relationships outside of the standard list of benefits. A successful Brand Activation Manager at Umpqua will help propel a powerful narrative for a strong Pacific Northwest brand through highly visible partnerships and connections, contributing in a noticeable way to the organizations growth in the short and long-term, and proving the value the top-of-the-funnel strategy has on the bottom line. Functions Implement and support customer-facing aspects of the Umpqua brand strategy and brand communications. Seek out and develop strategic brand partnerships and alliances, expanding awareness and preference for Umpqua. Work closely with the Brand Marketing Director and a diverse group of stakeholders to negotiate involvement and leverage benefits of sponsorships and other brand activation opportunities. Evaluate the financial aspects of the sponsorship strategy and tactics, such as budgets, expenditures and return-on-investment. Passionately promote the Umpqua brand promise and messages throughout the company. Foster a culture of living and owning the brand message. Support brand marketing campaigns to effectively leverage them within sponsorships. Find creative ways to create and leverage original content from sponsorships and other activation opportunities. Create and oversee a localize sponsorship strategy, empowering associates at the local level to engage their communities, with strategic oversight. Qualifications Bachelors degree in business, marketing or related field, or related equivalent experience. 7-10 years of marketing experience, with 3-5 years executing sponsorship activation. Experience negotiating with corporate partners to secure beneficial partnerships on behalf of the greater organization. Agency and third-party management experience. Physical Requirements and Working Conditions Work involves: Office environment -- no specific or unusual physical or environmental demands. Occasional Travel No relocation is offered.
