*IMPORTANT: To be considered for this position, please follow the Application Instructions at the end of this job posting* Job Summary:-- As the Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of POIC + RAHS grants and contracts including supporting proposal submission, contract negotiation, sub-award issuance, and post-award administration (both financial and non-financial). The core responsibilities of the Contracts Manager are to establish and maintain effective Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for executing, negotiate and manage grants and contract awards, collaborate with Development and Program staff to vet potential funding opportunities and provide guidance, and to serve as the primary liaison between Development and Fiscal staff to ensure award agreements are executed in a timely fashion. Responsibilities and Duties: Implement and execute SOPs as needed to successfully execute contracts and grants across the organization Communicate, train and continuously improve SOPs across a diverse set of internal stakeholders Develop, refine, and standardize contract templates across the organization, including but not limited to independent contractor agreements, MOUs, grants, and other contractual agreements. Coordinate with the Development team to ensure awarded grants are executed in a timely fashion, including hand-off of deliverables, budget, and reporting requirements to internal stakeholders Support the Director of Finance around issues and trends in financial operating models and delivery as aligned with POIC's strategic planning Works with accounting team to ensure payroll allocations, direct and indirect costs, revenue, and reporting is accurate and in compliance with funder requirements.-- Personal Requirements: Excellent time management and organization skills Accuracy and attention to detail Proven ability to balance multiple competing priorities and meet project deadlines Flexible; able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events Collaborative; builds team morale and group commitments to goals and objectives Ability to build and maintain productive work relationships with colleagues from diverse backgrounds Proven ability to work cross-departmentally to achieve goals and objectives Strong cultural competency Passion for the mission and work of POIC + RAHS Experience/Education: Bachelor's degree required; Master's of Business Administration (MBA) and or Juris Doctor (JD) strongly preferred Minimum of five years related experience required Experience in financial reporting of at least $5M in government contracts for a nonprofit entity Deep knowledge of state, local, county, and federal funding regulations Experience negotiating contracts with government entities Solid understanding of legal contract terms Advanced MS Excel skills Application Instructions: To be considered for this opportunity, please submit: Personal Statement that includes: Why you are interested in working for POIC + RAHS How your skills and experience relate to this position What you can contribute to our organization and the youth we serve Resume Please send your Personal Statement and Resume to--jobs@portlandoic.org --with the job title in the subject line.-- Applicants who do not submit a Personal Statement that includes the requested information may be disqualified from consideration for the position.
