Position Description The Accounting Manager a ssists the Controller
in leading the organization's finance & accounting functions
including the development and maintenance of accounting policies,
principles, practices, and procedures. The Accounting Manager
provides leadership and establishes a collaborative and innovative
environment for work groups focusing on quality, customer service
and process improvement. Duties
- Oversee the efficient and timely processing of accounting
processes in the functional areas of Accounts Receivable,
Subcontract Accounting, Trades Payables, and Job Cost
- Preparation of financial statements and related reports:
- Preparation of the quarterly internal financial statements
including the preparation and review of all supporting schedules
and consolidation, if necessary.
- Preparation of monthly internal revenue projections.
- Preparation of schedules for the year end audit and tax
- Preparation and/or review of periodic state and local tax
reports and other submittals, as necessary.
- Preparation and/or review of subcontractor financial statement
analysis for qualification purposes.
- Preparation and/or review of account reconciliations, journal
entries and job costs.
- Develop effective accounting information systems and
- Maintain and revise workflow and process documentation for all
areas of responsibility as needed.
- Develop technical knowledge and understanding of Viewpoint to
leverage its capabilities in the overall operation of the company .

and varied information to make business recommendations. -- Ability
to work collaboratively with people from multiple departments. --
Ability to be organized, so that all job duties are completed on
time and accurately. -- Demonstrated skills in prioritizing and
providing responsive service to others. -- Demonstrated skills in
business process analysis to ensure efficient production with
appropriate internal controls. -- Demonstrated skills in
coordinating the timely work of others. Position Requirements --
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business, or an
equivalent combination of work experience and education and at
least 5 years of Public Accounting experience as well as experience
managing accounting staff. -- CPA / CMA or equivalent certification
(preferred) -- Comprehensive knowledge of GAAP, including the
preparation of proportionate and consolidated financial statements.
-- Comprehensive knowledge of cost accounting and the work in
progress schedule. -- Working knowledge of state and local taxes.
-- Working knowledge of payroll taxes and related liabilities. --
At least 3 years of Construction industry experience strongly
