We are looking for a Vice President, Regional Executive for our Portland Branch who will report to our Senior Vice President of Public Engagement. As the Regional Executive you will be the senior officer in the Branch, provide leadership and guidance to the local team, represent the Face-of-the-Fed in the local region, engage actively in business and banker outreach, and recruit directors for and oversees the work of the Portland Board of Directors. This role is expected to be focused on external engagement activities 80-90% of the time in addition to any other corporate responsibilities held by the incumbent. The person selected must reside in the Portland area. Highlights of Responsibilities:

• Champion and embody our aspirational OneBank culture, serving as a role model for effective, positive, and inclusive management and leadership
• Provide strong leadership and management for the Branch and the Branch Administration team within the Bank's functional structure
• Actively represent the Fed in the community through strong and ongoing engagement activities which build and foster relationships with leading business, banking, community, and educational leaders
• Support the District's engagement initiatives and the outreach of senior bank leaders by creating pools of influential and diverse business contacts in the region
• Build a robust future Board of Director pipeline for the Portland Branch by actively seeking influential and diverse business, banking and community leaders with insight into the trends and issues impacting the economy of the Portland zone
• Facilitate effective and mutually beneficial Branch Board meetings; offer thought leadership to enhance the meeting structure/content as applicable
• Serve as a point of escalation for a broad range of Branch issues, whether related to human resources, business continuity, or other matters
• Be an exemplar of and advocate for the District's strategy and engage in work that furthers the Bank's premier public service provider vision
• Coach leaders and staff about their own professional and career development; assess long term succession potential
• Create an inclusive environment where diverse perspectives are valued with open and accessible lines of communication Qualifications and Expectations:
  • 10+ years of leadership experience and 5+ years of people management experience. Additional preferred experience: demonstrated public speaking, outreach, and C-suite engagement
  • Demonstrate strong independence, initiative and influence, including excellent written, speaking, and presentation skills, and the ability to effectively build relationships with a range of external parties, particularly at the C-suite level, and audiences across the organization and in the community
  • Remain competently conversant on economic issues, the business environment, monetary policy activities and the overall work of the Federal Reserve
  • Excellent emotional intelligence, and the ability to build trust in a variety of relationships through candor, reliability and authenticity
  • Strong critical thinking, including analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize and effectively communicate complex issues
  • Demonstrated proficiency in public speaking with a desire to engage regularly in this activity
  • Keen intellect and the ability, experience and/or interest in facilitating discussions and understanding of economic issues and monetary policy activities
  • Strong interest and ability in the development of others, and in championing growth and development as an important Bank competency
  • Strong collaboration skills and commitment to the OneBank vision, with an interest in ensuring strong relationships between the Branch and other Bank functions
