Department Overview The Knight Grants Management team (KGM) provides comprehensive pre-award support for sponsored projects to a diverse customer base within the Knight Cancer Institute.The OHSU Knight Cancer Institute is a pioneer in personalized cancer treatment and research, led by Dr. Brian Druker, whose development of Gleevec transformed Chronic Myeloid Leukemia from a fatal disease to a manageable one and proved that targeted therapies can work. The institute focuses on precision oncology; the early detection, prevention, and treatment of cancer; and creating a welcoming and supportive environment for its caregivers, researchers, and support personnel. We'd love for you to join us!Function/Duties of PositionThe Grants & Contracts Manager oversees the Knight Grants Management team (KGM). This Manager is a connector and leader ensuring relevant parties are informed and appropriately engaged. The position will often serve as a primary contact for scientific leadership, therefore requiring a high level of professionalism, critical thinking and problem solving skills, flexibility, organization, and leadership skills.Primary responsibilities include: Supervising and developing Knight Grants Management staffProject managing complex, multidisciplinary grant proposals in collaboration with OHSU research teamsServing as a subject matter expert on federal and non-federal grant applicationsSeeking opportunities for process improvement both within the team and in collaboration with other business units.Job Type: Full-timePay: $82,000.00 - $113,000.00 per yearBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceFlexible spending accountHealth insuranceHealth savings accountLife insurancePaid time offProfessional development assistanceReferral programRelocation assistanceRetirement planVision insuranceSchedule:8 hour shiftMonday to FridayCOVID-19 considerations:Social distancing and mask requirement when onsite.
