POSITION SUMMARY & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Korn Ferry is seeking an Associate Principal to join the Leadership Development Solution Area of its Advisory Practice. We are seeking an expert to lead client engagement teams for our high impact leadership development programs. As a delivery-focused principal, your primary focus is to manage and deliver work at the highest level of quality. Your experience within Leadership Development enables success in leading and structuring complex engagements. With clients, you create trusted, collaborative relationships by managing needs, expectations and the environment. Contributions to new business development focuses on structuring the solution, pricing and establishing oneself as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Leadership Development with internal colleagues and external clients. Candidates will have proven experience in leadership development solution design, program facilitation, and broad talent management program implementation as an external consultant, as part of a leading consulting firm or an internal corporate role with stakeholder management experience. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITES: Responsibilities include client engagement management, leadership development delivery (e.g. program facilitation and/or solution design), business development, and contributing to the L&PD community of practice. A typical breakdown of focus areas is provided below: Client Engagement Management (50%)

  • Develop and/or support engagement structure, plan, resource needs and definition of deliverables and outcomes. Engagements may span multiple service lines and would typically involve managing multiple consultants from other offices/countries. Typical timescales could be 6-12 months
  • Build productive relationships with engagement and client team members setting clear expectations, direction and asking for feedback when appropriate
  • Grow and manage knowledge of engagement economics to ensure accurate scope, margin and profitability of work
  • Partner with internal KF functions to resource delivery talent, manage contract-to-cash activities, track profitability and ensure high quality delivery
  • Apply operational discipline to all aspects of sales and delivery using internal systems and reporting Leadership Development Delivery (40%)
    • Deliver leadership development programs for Korn Ferry clients. This may include facilitation, coaching, and/or instructional design depending on your area of expertise and career development.
    • Our program designs may include large and small group facilitation, virtual instructor-led sessions, assessment debrief and individual coaching sessions. Seamlessly partner with Korn Ferry co-facilitators and integrate internal client speakers and outside experts.
    • Design leadership development programs and develop materials - including conducting interviews and diagnosis, identifying program objectives, developing learning architecture, and instructional design (workbooks, slides, facilitator guides, ppt's).
    • Currently, all work is done virtually using various platforms (e.g. Adobe Connect, Microsoft Teams and/or Zoom). In the future, when corporate travel resumes, typical programs may be residential 1-4 day programs with 25-35 participants. Locations are diverse and client dependent. Business Development (5%)
      • Look for ways to build new client relationships e.g. active networking, asking for referrals, partnering across KF lines of business. Leverage insights to define, recommend and /or co-create strategic solutions for the clients.
      • Contribute to winning profitable business by proposal writing, pricing, shaping opportunities, pitch preparation and opportunity spotting in clients. Assess the needs of large/complex clients, designing and delivering solutions to meet their needs. Contribute to L&PD Solution Community (5%)
        • Mentor consultants, project managers and operations team. Give and receive feedback - performance improvement and appreciative feedback.
        • Actively contribute to the global L&PD community by sharing best practices and participating in community forums. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
          • Relevant advanced degree (e.g., Graduate, Doctorate or equivalent) preferred.
          • Minimum of 5+ years of relevant work experience in a top tier professional services firm and/or an internal function
          • Understand the leadership and organizational issues faced by business leaders, with ability to engage as a peer, act as a trusted advisor and place proposed services in their business situation or context LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT SOLUTION-SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS:
            • Expertise in at least one of the following delivery areas: instructional design, program facilitation and/or coaching. For coaches, ICF credential preferred.
            • Experience conducting a needs analysis and then designing talent management, assessment and LD solutions to achieve the desired organizational objectives/needs.
            • Knowledgeable about talent management, leadership development and assessment trends and best practices for designing high impact solutions.
