About the Position:We are searching for a Senior Public Relations Account Manager with 7+ years of experience to join our PR team and manage a combination of B2B and B2C accounts. We are seeking applicants in the Portland metro area who are able to join us at our Central Eastside office on Tuesdays and Thursdays and work from home the rest of the week.You'll work closely with energetic, passionate coworkers in different departments, and be part of an integrated agency that puts people first. The bulk of your responsibility will be managing and leading your clients every day and building award-winning campaigns that go above and beyond our clients' greatest expectations. At the core of our work is media relations and you should be a strong storyteller, able to write in our clients' voices, and understand the earned media landscape. You'll have the support of experienced industry leaders who believe in and trust your talent and who will challenge you to become the best professional you can be. -
Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a day-to-day account lead and PR expert for our clients, building and implementing strategic and creative work that moves the needle. -
  • Proactively and consistently communicate with clients to manage expectations and ensure satisfaction, and be an ongoing extension of their teams.
  • Maintain communication with appropriate team members to ensure positive workflow through weekly status reports, project timelines, budget recaps, estimates, etc.
  • Identify creative news angles and timely thought leadership topics and opportunities for our clients. -
  • Build strong and ongoing relationships with the media (local, national, trade, etc.) -
  • Monitor key performance indicators and understand public relations and social media metrics, and be able to communicate ROI to our clients. - - -
    Basic Qualifications:
    • 7+ years public relations, communications and/or marketing experience; agency experience a must
    • Demonstrated account leadership, initiative, and willingness to assume greater responsibility
    • Strong professional business writing skills
    • Strong interpersonal skills and a natural love for working with clients and teams
    • Strong presentation skills, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Demonstrated ability to manage deadlines and budgets
    • Organizational skills with deep attention to detail
    • Proactive, resourceful, solution-oriented, and able to multitask effectively
    • A sense of urgency and responsiveness
    • Self-motivated and collaborative, willing to do what is right for the client and the team. -
    • Familiar with industry tools and resources such as Cision, Meltwater, Sprout Social, etc.
