chemicals and plastic pollution.What you'll do: We're looking for a
seasoned leader to help significantly grow our revenues from
individual giving, especially major gifts. The successful candidate
will have at least seven years of experience in major donor
development, supervising fund development staff, and revenue
planning in support of strategic growth. The Development Director
fills a senior staff position and reports to the Executive
Director.Who we're looking for: An external-facing fundraiser who

cold contacts. An excellent organizer who effectively tasks and

them accountable. A strategic thinker who thrives on relationship
building, organizational development, and growth.Major
Responsibilities and DutiesMajor Gifts - Lead our major donor
program, including our capacity-building campaign:
- Discover, research and qualify major donor prospects
- Organize senior staff and board volunteers in support of their
major donor work
- Lead all efforts to cultivate relationships with donor
prospects
- Make direct asks of donor prospects and support the team in
their direct fundraising
- Lead all efforts to steward current major donors, including
donor-advised funders
- Maintain next steps and assignments to move donor/prospects
through all stages
- Evaluate and regularly report on progress and program
results
- Coordinate with other staff on communications, marketing, and
program content
- Ensure engagement of major donors and prospects in events and
house parties
- Planning and forecasting using gift charts and other tools and
metrics -Management - Oversee and manage the fundraising work led
by other staff, including:
- Supervise the Community Giving Manager to raise funds from
direct mail and online appeals, events, small grants, workplace
giving, corporate gifts and other annual giving
- Engage other staff, board members, and volunteers in
appropriate fundraising activities
- Manage the grants program and work plan of the grants team
- Lead annual development and budget planning for fundraising
revenues and expenses
- Develop and maintain year-end revenue forecasts on a monthly
basis
- Manage contractors on fund development related projects
-Leadership - As a senior staff member, held shape organizational
growth & development:
- Advise the Executive Director as an active member of the staff
Leadership Team
- Lead long-range and strategic planning for fund
development
- Build and lead a board/volunteer Development Committee to
support fundraising
- Report to the board of directors on fundraising success and
opportunities
- Develop a planned giving program and other capacity-building
initiativesMinimum Qualifications
- At least seven years of directly relevant fund development
experience
- Demonstrated success with major donor development and major
gift campaigns
- Proven ability to organize and motivate others to engage in
fundraising activities
- A work history with progressive increase in management and
leadership responsibility
- Prior experience as an effective supervisor of other staff
- Prior responsibility for budget planning and revenue
forecasting
- Excellent verbal communications and people skills
- Good writing and editing capability
- Must be tech savvy, including highly capable with contact
relationship management and spreadsheet software, with related
reporting and analytical capacity
- Demonstrated commitment to social justice and a sustainable

United States is possible.Salary: Minimum of $81,000, with higher
