the opportunity: Job summary: Management and oversight of the
Electronic Health Record system associated applications and the
Clinical Applications Support team. Such oversight includes a focus
on ensuring that all required staff members are fully competent
with Trillium's electronic health record and related clinical
systems, that our systems securely integrate, interface or share
data as appropriate, that the clinical applications support medical
decision making and, that we effectively capture needed clinical
information in order to maximize agency quality and performance
improvement initiatives.
- Oversee the operation and maintenance of the Electronic Health
Record System and associated clinical applications and
services.
- Responsible for maintaining the EHR and clinical application
systems on an ongoing basis including managing system upgrades and
configuring or releasing new functionality in order to support
defined business processes.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for vendor relationships
related to the Electronic Health Record and other clinical
applications.
- Support the use of best practice workflows and consistency in
staff roles to reduce variation and optimize successful outcomes in
use of the EHR and other clinical systems.
- Coaching and skills development for organizational systems and
executive operations on developing workflows and formalizing
operational definitions.
- Utilize documented change control processes to create
opportunities for innovation and collaboration while maintaining a
low-risk environment.
- Develop strong working relationships with agency leadership and
other IS team members to effectively identify and resolve issues
related to clinical applications.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and provide
analysis, propose change strategies, and communicate proposed
strategies appropriately.
- Manage and lead the Clinical Applications team in responding to
relevant trouble tickets, service requests and process improvement
recommendations.
- Project plan, manage, and execute on process creation and
improvement for full enterprise needs. Lead in engaging effective
change management efforts.
- Ensure the creation, maintenance and accuracy of training
materials related to clinical applications systems and associated
workflows
- Ensure proper systems development lifecycle practices while
maintaining, upgrading, enhancing, and improving Clinical
Application systems and processes.
- Coordinate with vendor and IS team members as necessary to
ensure timely upgrades and security patching of all clinical
application systems.
- Ensure clinical application systems adhere to all HIPAA
guidelines as well as all other applicable state, federal or
oversight agency regulations and standards.
- Design, propose, promote, and execute creation of clinical
information governance initiatives. Coordinate with Quality, HIM
and other stakeholders.
- Engage and support data governance initiatives through system
improvements and enhancements, data collection standards, audit and
report functions, and liaison between technology and areas of
business for reporting needs.
- Contribute to creation, maintenance, validation, analytics of
data sets in report writing with utilization of SQL, Credible BH
data systems, and BI tools.
- Complete all required training. About you: To perform the job
successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following
competencies:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to provide leadership and inspiration to
motivate team members.
- Proficient in MS office suite, including MS Word, Excel, Visio,
PowerPoint.
- Ability to identify and document opportunities that can improve
efficiency of business process workflows and best practice.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of health record data
and content standards. Experience with CREDIBLE Behavioral Health
EHR preferred
- Ability to analyze and resolve complex issues, both technical
and interpersonal.
- Ability to partner with multiple levels of leadership to
develop strategic plans and roadmaps. Education: Bachelor's degree
in Health Care, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or
equivalent field. Experience: 10+ years related experience in
healthcare applications technology. Including a minimum of three
years in a supervisory position with both strategic and operational
responsibility for a Clinical Applications team. Job Knowledge:
Makes decisions within established guidelines, organizational
policy and procedure, federal, state, and local laws, rules and
regulations. Job involves a high degree of complexity in that
employee deals with highly sensitive and confidential information.
Skills: Knowledge of leading Business Apps used in healthcare both
on premise and SaaS Product. Demonstrated knowledge Meaningful Use,
HIPAA and industry regulatory standards. Experience managing
clinical and business applications within healthcare. Excellent
project management experience. Preferred:
- Knowledge and experience with Credible Behavioral Health EHR
