• Assess external customer credit needs and creditworthiness including changes thereto
• Document assessments in the form of Credit Business Cases for review by senior Finance management
• Contribute to credit insurance program administration and reporting in partnership with the Credit Manager
• Perform ad hoc credit, accounts receivable, and other financial risk analysis
• Continuously evaluate and participate in implementing process, system, and reporting improvements within the credit and accounts receivable functionsInterpersonal ContactsInternal contacts include senior Finance and Commercial management, as well as Credit and Accounts Receivable Department personnel. External contacts include credit analysts, credit insurance company personnel, insurance brokers, and customer personnel. Contacts are by audio/video conference, phone, electronic mail, instant messaging, and in person.Internal Control ResponsibilitiesMaintains current knowledge of applicable internal control changes and is involved with refinement of applicable internal control processes. Encourages the reporting and remediation of control violations. Strives for continuous improvement within operations. Challenges conventional thinking to obtain the most efficient solutions to issues. Utilizes best practices, benchmarks, and metrics to improve organization.Job ConditionsWorking in the corporate headquarters (Portland, Oregon) two days per week and remotely three days per week. Overtime may be required to complete deadline work and accommodate quarter- and year-end credit needs.Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or similar area
  • At least 5 years of experience in finance risk analysis or an adjacent field
  • Advanced knowledge of financial statements, credit reports, financial and credit risk metrics, applicable data sources, and best practices for credit risk assessment and reporting
  • Enhanced technical writing and communication skills
  • Strong PC skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
