The Training & Development Manager will be responsible for improving the productivity of plants' employees via learning, development, and training. This role is focused primarily on providing and facilitating plant wide training initiatives, driving employee engagement, and strategic collaboration across all plant functional areas. This position assesses plant-wide developmental needs to drive training initiatives and identifies and arranges suitable training solutions for employees. Responsibilities
Monitor, evaluate, and enhance induction and Onboarding process and procedure
Conducts annual training and development needs assessment
Develops training and development programs and objectives
Trains and coaches managers, supervisors, and others involved in employee development efforts
Develops and maintains organizational communications such as email and posters or bulletin boards and newsletters to ensure employees have knowledge of training and development events and resources.
Conducts follow up studies of all completed training to evaluate and measure results.
Performs periodical health check assessment of each element of the E&T pillar and partners with plant and corporate teams in the development of plans to continuously improve the process through each implementation step.
Is the site owner and creator for performance based training systems including Skill Matrix, Certified Trainer Program, Performance Based Training Curriculums & Courses, Roll Profiling, On-boarding programs, Work Standards, Zero Loss culture, and equipment ownership.
Identify, evaluate and set direction for AFNA E&T pillar as part of E&T pillar pilot and the roll out team
Teach, coach and provide assessment for E&T Pillar methodology to your Pillar Team Members & coordinate the capability building process for the site.
Support implementation of TPM, while also supporting the Site Implementation Plan. The T&D Manager will be the Pillar Leader for the E&T Pillar, and represent the site with the Regional E&T Pillar Team as a Team Member, and the regional governance meeting while establishing E&T Pillar Subject Matter Expert network.
Act as site representative for regional and national E&T and L&D meetings. Report KPIs into Program leaders.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
Bachelors degree (BA or BS) from a four-year college or university; or at least five years of related production experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge and Skills:
Demonstrated ability to utilize MS-Excel to analyze data and other computer applications such as MS-Word, MS-PowerPoint, and e-mail.
Proven ability to communicate in a clear and concise way to individuals at all levels of the organization.
Ability to give clear direction, and clearly articulate information, observations, and conclusions that can be used to make business decisions to individuals at any level in the organization.
Demonstrated leadership skills, be self-motivated, and a self-starter with demonstrated ability to work with minimum supervision.
Has experience with Total Process Management (TPM), Kaizen, I.,or other Project Management experience is required.
