pre-commercial and commercial energy supply contracts per their
terms and conditions, including but not limited to; certifying
completion of contractually required milestones, acceptance of
commercial operation, compliance, dispute resolution and the
invoice settlement function for long-term renewable and
non-renewable contracts and agreements. Coordinate and implement
solutions for issues related to integration of battery technology
in long-term power purchase agreements.Responsibilities of this
position include the following:Lead challenging and complex issues
in the contracts group.Lead and work on special projects and/or
multidisciplinary and interdepartmental projects.Lead and provide
technical assistance to less experienced team members.Conduct
thorough risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to
minimize potential contract related issues.Lead contractual
disputes related to new and existing development and other contract
matters.SME for all pre-commercial and commercial energy supply
contracts.Contract Project Management / Long-Term Renewable Power
Purchase Agreements Collaborate with cross-functional teams to
ensure that pre-commercial long-term renewable power purchase
agreements are planned, executed and monitored effectively,
contributing to successful advancement of clean energy
technologies. Track pre-commercial construction performance
milestones and lead monthly meetings with suppliers. Identify
potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies in
collaboration with project team, Legal and counterparty. Ensure
compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards and
contract terms through commercial operation of renewable
facility.Renewable and Non-Renewable Energy Agreements Manage and
document the tracking, fulfillment, and enforcement of contractual
obligations for complex renewable Power Purchase Agreements,
non-renewable long-term Power Purchase Agreements, and
Transportation Service Agreements, to include contract performance
tracking, contract amendments, finalization of operational
procedure exhibits, monthly energy settlements, invoicing and
dispute resolution (legal and commercial), supply table changes,
certificates of insurance, financial security compliance, annual
planned outage schedule, annual compliance reports, right of first
offer, and rate changes. Liaise with counterparty and legal to
resolve disputes and finalize contract amendments and metering
agreements. Oversee contract terminations or renewals at end of
contract lifecycle.Develop and maintain business processes,
systems, and applications to measure contract performance towards
obligations with detailed supporting documentation. Coordinate and
implement contractual and operational solutions for issues related
to integration of battery technology in long-term power purchase
agreements.Estimate and forecast power production for long-term
power purchase agreements, for calculation and analysis of
financial accruals; track trends in performance and coordinate with
counterparty for verification. Prepare monthly accrual
documentation for leadership and accounting.Once executed, manage
specialized energy supply agreements for large customers. Track
renewable energy credits sales; manage monthly settlement process;
coordinate with billing on customer charges; coordinate with Major
Accounts for renewable credit tracking.Provide contract support to
Resource Optimization, Transmission, Credit Risk Management,
Renewables, Legal, Resource Planning and Analysis, Fuel and
Purchased Power, etc.Coordinating with Resource Optimization,
Legal, Risk Management and external counterparties, manage process
to set up and execute Energy Master Trading Agreements. Manage the
confirmation process; review, record, and file executed
confirmations. Participate in RFP process with Resource
Optimization.Compliance, Reporting and Regulatory Lead the timely
and accurate data submission for annual 10-K financial reporting,
to be filed with Securities and Exchange Commission for range of
energy, capacity and transmission contracts.Prepare and submit
timely and accurate data for statutorily required filings with
regulator. Compile and develop energy capacity reporting for
Integrated Resource Plan and Energy Supply Plan. Assist with
development of narrative and exhibits for regulatory
filings.Prepare complex energy capacity reporting for use in
management and analysis of current and forecasted energy capacity,
as well as use in filings with regulators, Transmission Planning
and Corporate Communications.Respond to external audit data
requests from suppliers; develop and furnish requested supporting
documentation; resolve discrepancies and address findings.Develop
detailed responses to internal and regulator data requests, for
managed energy contracts.Performs related duties as
assigned.Requirements for this position include the
following:Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance or a
related field; or the equivalent combination of education and
experience.A minimum of 7 years' of contract management
experience.Knowledge of energy industry, project management,
contract management.Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and
local governmental laws and regulations.Ability to prioritize
multiple tasks and meet deadlines.Ability to maintain high degree
of accuracy and attention to detail while meeting established
deadlines.Strong planning and analytical skills. Proficient with
personal computers including spreadsheet, database, word
processing, and presentation applications to gather, analyze, and
model information.Communication and interpersonal skills including
the ability to consult with internal and external customers
regarding matters/issues which may be sensitive in nature.Ability
to work with all levels of an organization including people with
different styles and backgrounds; ability to work as a member of a
team. Ability to present alternatives and
recommendations.PreferencesFamiliarity with PacifiCorp's
transmission system and knowledge of the bulk electric transmission
system in the Western U.S.Knowledge of power system
