Company seeks a VP of Administration to oversee administrative functions related to finance, facilities, human resources and information technology in accordance with industry standards, regulatory agencies, and company objectives and policies. The successful applicant will have a broad-based set of experiences in most or all of these areas, and will have a proven history of prioritizing and managing a high volume of tasks in such a cross-functional role. Company designs and manufactures fiber optic, hybrid and laser cables, connectors and assemblies for the military, aerospace, datacomm, medical and industrial markets. Responsibilities: Oversee both the task-level (daily) and strategic (long term) goals and objectives of each department Manage a team of specialists and generalists involved in the Administration group Troubleshoot current operations, and implement processes and procedures that will improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the company. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in a business-related field and/or comparable work experience 10+ years of experience in at least 2-3 applicable functional areas, exhibiting exceptional organizational, administrative and cross-functional work skills Proven ability to take initiative, lead others, troubleshoot business processes and implement change Experience organizing and leading meetings, communicating progress and ensuring actions are assigned/achieved Experience in directly managing small to medium-sized teams. Proven interpersonal, written, verbal, and problem-solving skills, with ability to communicate and work collaboratively Proven experience in managing audits (process, financial, or other) and relationships with external constituencies. Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc Additional Desired Skills: Basic to advanced capabilities in: GAAP and cost-based accounting, ERP systems, vendor negotiations, multi-faceted vendor contracts, human resources, legal documents, compliance activities and administrative support of scaled manufacturing operations. Experience working with government contracts, including working knowledge of FARs, DFARs, ITAR, etc. Experience with integrating technology into administrative systems such as supply chain management, business services, human resources and/or facilities management A desire to work in a highly dynamic, fast-paced industry and environment Additional Details: Critical member of five-person executive operating team This is a full-time, salaried position The salary is competitive and is determined by the strength of qualifications.
