VP of US Sales

Job Description:

The Head of Sales is responsible for development, implementation and successful execution of a US Sales strategy that meets or exceeds KEEN US sales goals. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement an integrated US Sales strategy and long range plan with GTM alignment to drive profitable, brand-building growth across the US region. Participate as a key member of the OLK (Outdoor, Lifestyle, Kids) leadership team. Manage field sales; hybrid of in-house reps and agencies, split by Strategic and Specialty accounts. Lead inside sales support team (Sales Ops and administration) Develop and implement clear and powerful Channel Strategies and Key Account Business Plans to both guide in-season actions and 3 year plans. Design and Implement Sales Compensation Programs to drive required results and reward individual rep performance. Develop forecasting models and execute forecasts. Drive alignment and partnership with cross-functional teams; Product, Insights & Engagement, Category Leadership, Finance, Operations, and Merchandising, to ensure cohesive and successful execution of Sales plans. Work with Marketing to ensure that investments and messaging positively impact sales. Create and implement “dashboards” to effectively manage, measure and communicate productivity. Develop senior level relationships with Strategic Partners, and foster deep Top-To-Top relationships with management. Personally engage with customers in the field to understand needs and provide customer-centric sales solutions. Lead, develop and manage talent via KEENs Performance Management Process in continuous feedback and training. Develop and manage department operating/expense budgets within established guidelines. Knowledge/Skills Required: Strong leader, communicator and analytical thinker Ability to build strong team dynamics and relationships cross-functionally Exceptional leadership and coaching skills, with a proven track record managing high performing teams Highly motivated, self-starter Team oriented approach / balance of Confidence & Humility Ability to prepare & present information and address questions from management, clients, and the overall KEEN org Excellent organizational skills / ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment Experience developing and executing Sales Incentive programs Bachelor’s Degree plus a minimum of 10 years of experience in sales management in an Outdoor or Footwear company Minimum 3 years experience at senior management level, including experience managing multiple channel sales leads Experience with rapidly growing eCommerce and omni-channel environments preferred Proficient with Microsoft Applications MBA preferred but not required Experience and/or alignment with values-based companies helpful
