***Hiring for either a LPN or MA, multiple positions available***Posting Pay:+ Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN): $22.54 - $30.49 per hour+ Medical Assistant (MA): $20.64 - $27.92 per hourShift/hours/location will be determined during interview processHiring Bonus and Retention Incentives AvailableLPN:The licensed practical nurse (LPN) provides clinical care in a primary clinic supporting the needs of patients and patient care teams, including: patient assess service representatives (PAS), medical assistants (MAs), registered nurses (RNs) and licensed independent practitioners (LIPs). The LPN has a supervised practice that occurs at the clinical direction and under the clinical supervision of the RN or LIP who have authority to make changes in the plan of care, and encompasses a variety of patient care roles, including but not limited to: Rooming, data collection, recording, reporting patient information, focused patient assessment, development of a focused care plan, implementation of the plan of care, evaluation of patient responses to nursing interventions, basic telephone triaging and patient education and performing simple treatments and procedures. The LPN recognizes and addresses age-appropriate needs when caring for patients. In addition, the LPN assists in maintaining the practice environment in a clean, orderly condition (including cleaning and stocking rooms).The LPN participates in ongoing professional development and competency assessment, and participates in ongoing quality assurance and quality improvement initiatives. Performs requirements and expectation of OHSU employees as outlined in OHSU Core Competencies, Code of Conduct, policies, and procedures.MA:Medical Assistant will join a care delivery team that provides same day acute care for adults and children. A companion service to Primary Care, the Immediate Care team will provide care for minor illnesses and injuries. The Medical Assistant provides a full range of Medical Assistant duties and support as part of the medical care team, including MD, RN, PA, NP, residents, fellows, technicians, patients and families, as well as additional learners and professionals involved in the practice. This position functions within the Medical Assistant Scope of Practice as defined by OHSU. Primary duties of this position are; rooming, collecting patient vital signs, point of care testing, documentation in the electronic health record (EHR), maintaining clinic flow, stocking exam rooms, assisting with procedures and treatments, strong written and verbal communication with efficiency and diplomacy. Performs CLIA waved lab testing, Rx Refills, Health Maintenance, Management of In-Basket messages, physician support, team participation, MA/Provider daily huddles.Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Minimum Qualifications:+ Possess a valid Oregon Practical Nurse License at the time of appointment+ Current BLS certification at hire and must be issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) or Military Training Network branch of AHA (upload documentation with online application)ORMedical Assistant (MA) Minimum Qualifications:+ High School diploma or equivalent+ Current BLS certification at hire and must be issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) or Military Training Network branch of AHA (upload documentation with online application)+ Successful completion of an OHSU competency test prior to completion of probation or the internal job change evaluation period+ One of the following three:+ Completion of a nationally recognized accredited medical assistant training program, including a practicum (externship) of at least 160 hours, OR+ Successful completion of a formal medical services training program of the United States Armed Forces, OR+ Current Oregon Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) license (basic or advance) and national EMT registration with the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT.)+ For those completing medical assistant training or formal military medical services training as referenced above in #1 and #2, the following is also required (Those qualifying under the EMT qualification are exempt from this requirement.)+ Medical Assistant (MA) certification received from a nationally recognized and accredited certifying body, upon hire or by the completion of the probationary period or internal job change evaluation period, as appropriate.
