Admissions Specialist - MA or EMT Required! Since 1979, the

CCC's Hooper Detox Stabilization Center is seeking an Admissions
Specialist to join our team!
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6:30am - 3:00pm.The Successful
Candidate:You are capable of and passionate about triage,
assessment, and coordinating care for patients requesting admission
to detox and withdrawal programs. You are a skilled
relationship-builder and can partner collaboratively with internal
care teams and outreach partners to ensure clients are receiving
the care they need. You strongly believe that relationships with
clients and program staff should be strong and built on trust. You
are able to learn about chemical dependency, addictions, and
intervention techniques, and apply that knowledge to respond to
client's needs in a clinically and culturally appropriate way.
Duties to Include:--- Triage and assess patients presenting for
--- Admit new patients and assist through the admission
--- Observe and record pertinent information with regard to the
care and condition of patients.
--- Assist staff physician and clinician with documentation and
--- Make referrals to hospitals and other agencies.
--- Coordinate appointment scheduling with referral sources.
--- Assist with insurance authorizations.
--- Assist staff physician with medical emergencies as needed.
--- Administer medications as allowed by scope of practice and as
directed by the standing orders of on-site physician and
Requirements:--- Oregon State certified EMT-B, EMT-I, EMT-P or MA
required or the ability to obtain within one month of hire if not
--- High School Diploma or equivalent required. Two (2) year degree
in related field is preferred.
--- Current CPR certification or must obtain within one month of
hire if not current.
--- Experience working with individuals with substance use
--- Must meet CCC privileging requirements as required by FTCA.
--- If a recovering chemically dependent person must be in a
program of recovery and able to provide documentation of sobriety
for a minimum of two years.
--- Must have the physical ability to bend, stoop, twist, kneel,
reach, squat, pull and lift heavy clients or objects. Must be able
to climb stairs several times a day.
--- Must be able to document nursing interventions and responses to
care, and do so in an accurate, legible, and intelligible
--- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, TB test, and background
--- The OAR prohibits A&D program staff from having within the
previous 3 years a DUI conviction or diversion, a felony
conviction, or a conviction under the Uniform Controlled Substances
