Job Description:
Position Summary:Provides direct patient care based on
individual need according to hospital policies, procedures and
protocols, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and within
the scope of the practice of the Certified Nursing Assistant, after
initial orientation and completion of skills checklist.Minimum
Qualifications:High School diploma or equivalent.Completion of
Oregon Certified Nursing Assistant I or Certified Nursing Assistant
2 (Acute Care) Program.Current Oregon Certified Nursing Assistant
II Certification.Obtain BLS certification within three months and
maintain as current.Experience as a nursing assistant
preferred.Meets recertification and continuing education
requirements according to level of certification and maintains
certification without lapse.Essential Job Functional:Provides
direct personal care under supervision of a Registered Nurse within
the scope of practice of the Certified Nursing Assistant I or
Certified Nursing Assistant 2.Participates as a contributory member
of the interdisciplinary team.Completes all documentation within
departmental requirements and timelines.Participates in the
responsible management of all departmental/hospital
resources.Assumes responsibility for meeting annual in-service
requirements and ongoing personal development.'Knowledge, Skills
and Abilities:Ability to use good judgment, demonstrate patience,
and maintain a professional demeanor at all timesMust be able to
work in a busy and stressful environmentOrganizational skills and
the ability to prioritizeInterpersonal verbal communication
