The primary purpose and function of the Orthopedic Physician Assistant is to evaluate and treat patients who present with orthopedic complaints and provide direct patient care in the clinic while adhering to all quality, regulatory and compliance standards.

Requirements

  • Perform with expertise everyday procedures (eg: joint injections, casting, splinting)
  • Provide complete charts and complete lab responsibilities (call backs/follow up) on a daily basis
  • Order and interpret x-rays
  • Assist in surgical cases when necessary
  • Deliver and manage patient care through in-person visits, phone and email
  • Deliver clinical excellence, timeliness, professionalism and patient service for the ZoomCare Orthopedic service line
  • Correctly document and code visits to reflect the work done and to accurately capture the complexity of the medical care, without over- or under-coding
  • Participate in projects and internal committees that optimize clinical care, profitability, improve workflow and delight patients
  • Be a leader in improving Orthopedic workflows, enhancing care standards and eliminating workflow barriers. This includes software changes, clinic staff enhancements, facilities, supplies, equipment, provider behavior, and patient experience
  • Stay up to date with orthopedic standards and trends such as new regulations and new medical standards
  • Maintain CME/CEU's and clinical certificationsQualifications
    • Required: Masters degree in Physician Assistant Studies or Nurse Practitioner
    • Required: PA or NP with 1 year of orthopedic experience
    • Preferred: Creativity, early adopter, desire for continual growth, team member and builderCompensation:
      • Pay: $130,000 - $145,000 per year
      • Based on 34 hour work week
      • Bonus potential and additional shift based pay

        COVID-19 Vaccination Requirement:
        As an organization devoted to the health and well-being of our community, ZoomCare requires its employees to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 including 2 doses of a 2-dose series or 1 dose of a 1-dose series plus 14 days beyond the final dose prior to start date.N95 Fit Testing and Safety Mandate:
        ZoomCare requires clinical staff to be fit tested upon hire and wear respirators when required. In accordance with CSA/OSHA regulations all ZoomCare clinic staff must be clean shaven where the respirator seals to the face for fit testing or when wearing the respirator. Acceptable facial hair for respirator fit testing and use DOES NOT interfere with the respirator sealing surface, valve or respirator function.
