Crisis Therapist ($10k sign-on bonus) -Salary -See Position DescriptionLocation -Newberg, ORJob TypeRegular Full-TimeDepartmentHealth and Human ServicesJob NumberBH22-103 - -ClosingContinuousNEW EMPLOYEES HIRED INTO THIS POSITION ARE ELIGIBLE FOR A $10,000 HIRING BONUS.This is a regular, full-time position for a therapist (QMHP) to work on the Newberg Behavioral Health team providing integrated behavioral health services using training and experience in evidence-based practices with a -diverse group of clients, which may include adolescents, children, adults, and families with co-occurring mental health conditions such as serious mental illness, trauma disorders, and/or moderate mental health conditions. Duties will include intake assessments, crisis screenings in the clinic, effective case management, diagnosis and treatment planning activities, providing treatment to assigned clients, and maintaining accurate treatment records, while working closely with an integrated behavioral health team. -This position may be underfilled with an HS Specialist II. -Please see classification specifications below for details.HS Spec III Salary: -$5066- $6475/month (DOE) -HS Spec II Salary: -$4639- $5984/month (DOE) -The Qualifications:An MSW or master's degree in a social services field from an accredited school is required in addition to:HS Specialist II: One year of experience as a Human Services Specialist I. Any satisfactory equivalent combination of experience and training which ensures ability to perform the work may substitute for the above. Must qualify as a QMHP or CADC to work in respective fields. May require licensing. -HS Specialist III: -Three years post-master's experience. Active professional license in the state of Oregon as a Qualified Mental Health Provider (QMHP) or be a non-licensed QMHP with dual credentialing as a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC I, II, or III). -CADC certification is preferred but not required at hire; however, the expectation will be for the individuals in this position to be eligible to become a CADC candidate and to complete the CADC I requirements within their first two years of hire. Additional preference will be given to those who are bilingual in English and Spanish. Applicants will be required to pass skills testing as applicable. Must have an NPI number or be able to obtain one upon employment. Successful completion of a background check is also required. -Special Requirements:The State of Oregon requires all Health Services and Clinic employees to complete their COVID-19 vaccination series or have an approved exemption to the requirement due to a medical condition or sincerely held religious belief. Successful candidates for this position must submit vaccination documentation or be approved for an exemption prior to their first day of employment. Failure to provide proof of full documentation or receipt of an approved exemption will lead to withdrawal of the job offer. -The Candidate:The successful must have working knowledge of techniques specifically related to community mental health services and the following abilities: to understand the behavior of people under stress; to develop and maintain effective cooperative relationships with clients and their families, the community, physicians, law enforcement agencies, the courts, and public and private administrators; to interpret community mental health and chemical dependency services, and to prepare concise and complete client treatment and progress records. Typing and computer proficiency are required for collaborative documentation. They will also have excellent communication skills, and will be dependable, organized, self-directed, detail-oriented, and possess the ability to work in a team environment and to interact with coworkers, clients, and the public in a courteous, professional manner. -Employees must be able to perform the essential functions of this classification with or without accommodation. - -In order to qualify for most HHS positions, applicants: - -
