Description RN - Float Pool - Medical Surgical at Providence St.
Vincent Medical Center. This posting represents a .6 FTE, night
shift opening (7pm-7:30am, 2, 12 hour shifts per week) with
rotating weekends. Come join the Float Pool Family at Providence
St. Vincent We are a diverse family of caregivers that takes pride
in collaborating across the hospital in a variety of settings to
provide clinically excellent patient and family centered care.
Joining our team brings fantastic opportunities and challenges. We
train to support 10 units in our hospital: Medical A, Medical B,
Medical C, Cardiology A, Cardiology B, Surgical, Orthopedics,
Neurovascular, Oncology, and Clinical Decision Unit. After some
experience working in our ministry, we offer opportunities to
cross-train outside of our Division to Behavioral Health,
Interventional Recovery Unit, Short Stay Unit, Medical Procedures
Unit, IV Therapy, and Emergency Department Boarding areas. We
provide 4-6 weeks of preceptorship with an established Float Pool
RN depending on your prior experience. Float Pool has 24/7 coverage
with a Float Pool Charge RN whose priority is to round on our staff
throughout the hospital each shift. They will help ensure you are
progressing through your orientation process and are available to
answer your questions, troubleshoot assignments, and provide
clinical support as needed. Accomplishments:

- 2023 & 2024 Housewide Education Symposiums produced by our Unit

- 2024 Four Medical Surgical Float Pool RNs - recipients of the
Outstanding Evidence-Based Practice Award Extra Incentives:
- Evening shift differential - $ 2.85 p/hr
- Night shift differential - $6.20 p/hr
- $6,000 hiring bonus and relocation assistance for eligible
external hires that meet required qualifications and conditions for

- Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
- Upon hire: Oregon Registered Nurse License.
