Pharmacy Clinical Coordinator (Pharmacist) at Samaritan Health Services summary:
The Pharmacy Clinical Coordinator (Pharmacist) directs and coordinates the clinical pharmacy program, ensuring optimal pharmaceutical care across various pharmacy departments. This role requires effective communication and team-building skills to manage a diverse patient population and to work collaboratively with healthcare teams. Candidates must hold a valid Oregon Pharmacist Licensure and have experience or residency training in pharmacy practice.

JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE



Performs the duties of Clinical Pharmacist and directs, creates and coordinates the clinical program content of the pharmacy department.




DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION




Pharmacy Administration provides leadership and direction to the various pharmacy departments and programs at SHS. These include inpatient and outpatient pharmacies, Medication Management and pharmacy residency programs as well as 340B operations. We are staffed with seasoned pharmacists and technicians who help optimize pharmaceutical care throughout our SHS service area.





EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS



Current unencumbered Oregon Pharmacist Licensure required.



One (1) of the following required:




Satisfactory completion of an ASHP-accredited residency in pharmacy practice.


Six (6) months pharmacist experience.




Residency training preferred.


Advanced training preferred.



All job offers are contingent upon the candidate passing a pre-employment/post offer drug screen.

Communication - Effective written and oral communication skills to explain complex issues, exchange information between team members, and tactfully discuss issues. Ability to perform group presentations and listen to and understand complex information and ideas. Possess proficient communication skills (oral and written) in dealing with hospital employees, customers, and external organizations.



Computer Literacy - Knowledge of electronic equipment and computer hardware, software, and applications. Ability to operate applications, enter data, and process information.



Social Perceptiveness - Ability to work with a diverse population from pediatrics to geriatrics. Basic understanding of age-related differences in caring for and/or communicating with patients and caregivers. Possess personal sensitivity to the needs and experiences of others and a nonjudgmental attitude towards persons of differing standards, values, lifestyles and ages.


Team Building - Ability to work, function and communicate on a multi-disciplinary team. Possess the knowledge and skills to develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and maintain them over time. Demonstrates teamwork. Ability to assist and work well with others.


Problem Solving - Ability to identify complex problems, review related information, employ creativity and alternative thinking to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions. Possess good judgment and decision making skills.


Time Management - Ability to organize, plan and prioritize work to complete within required time frames and to follow-up on pending issues. Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously and thrive in dynamic fast-paced environments and under pressure. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and demonstrate flexibility.
