The -Medical Office Specialist (Specialty Care/Urgent Care)
-provides patient care in accordance with established methods and
techniques and conforms to recognized standards. -
Location: -1705 Waverly Dr. SE, Albany, OR -
Schedule: -Monday-Friday, between the hours of 7:15am-5:30pm
(typically 8am-5pm). Schedule will be determined upon hire, is
subject to change, and may require weekend hours based upon
business need.
Role Type: -Full-time onsite
Primary Responsibilities:
Will participate and maintain a culture within The Corvallis Clinic
that is consistent with the content outlined in the Service and
Behavioral Standards Handbook. To this end, employees will be
expected to read, have familiarity, and embrace the principles
contained within
Greets patients for providers, answers the telephone, routing of
calls/tasks, books appointments, verifies patient insurance
coverage, acts as cashier for payments and prepares for
appointments
Greeting and check patients in, verify current demographics and
insurance coverage. Notifies back-office staff of patient's arrival
in a timely manner
Working knowledge of the referral process
Use the correct search criteria to eliminate the creation of
duplicate documentation and enter in the EHR
Contact the assistant or provider promptly when an acutely ill
patient either telephones or approaches the reception desk with or
without an appointment
Direct patient flow and prepare patients for exams
Proactively monitors and manages provider schedules for
accuracy
Actively participate in the cleaning of shared work areas
Participate in the orientation and training of new employees
May work at multiple sites as determined by department
necessity

Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
1+ years of experience in a service-related industry OR 6+ months
of customer service experience in a professional office setting
Access to reliable transportation -
Preferred Qualifications: -
Ability to work well with providers, clinical staff and
patients
Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously in a busy,
fast-paced environment while maintaining quality of work
Excellent proven customer service skills
Intermediate level of proficiency with computer and telephone
skills, including Microsoft Office suite -

The salary range for this role is $16.00 -to $28.85 -per hour based
on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including
but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience,
certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum
