Department OverviewThe Hematology, Oncology & Bone Marrow Transplant unit operates 24/7 and provides exceptional care to patients with life-threatening diseases and disorders such as cancer, immune disorders, and blood disorders. Our patients range from birth to 20 years old and the unit has 21 beds.This position also comes with great benefits! Some highlights include:

    • OHSU works collaboratively with other hospitals in the region as they refer patients for specialized care.Required Qualifications
      • 1 year RN experience in Pediatric Hem/Onc
      • Associate or Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing from a program accredited by Commission of Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (CNEA)
      • BSN preferred
        • Associate Degree Nurses required to enroll in BSN program within 3 years of hire and complete within 5 years of hire.
        • Communication skills including fluency in oral and written English
        • Basic computer skills including the ability to send/receive email, navigate information technology associated with the position, and use Electronic Health Record information and tools
        • Current unencumbered Oregon RN license
        • Current BLS and PALS certifications issued by the American Heart Association
        • APHON/ONS Chemotherapy certifications
        • Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without accommodationPreferred Qualifications
