CNA - Long Term Care - Child Center at Providence Non-RN -
Oregon summary: This position is for a Certified Nursing Assistant
(CNA) working night shifts in a long-term care unit at Providence
Child Center, Portland. The CNA provides basic nursing care to
medically fragile pediatric and adult patients, assisting with
daily living activities under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
The role emphasizes compassionate, resident-centered care within a
supportive interdisciplinary team environment. Description CNA –
Long Term Care at Providence Child Center in Portland, Oregon. This
posting represents a full time night shift position. Hours are
7pm-7:30am (3, 12 hour shifts), with rotating weekends and
holidays. Our Long-Term Care unit within the Child Center has a
total of 46 beds, serving both pediatric and adult patients. Each
CNA cares for approximately 7 residents on day shift, and 11 on
nights. We care for a unique and diverse population of medically
fragile individuals, ranging from children with complex
developmental and neurological conditions to adults with chronic
illnesses and disabilities. Some of our residents require long-term
ventilator support, tracheostomy care, and all require some
assistance with activities of daily living. Our team is deeply

caregivers having long tenures and deep relationships with our

approach, working closely with respiratory therapy, rehab, and

nursing care functions and other duties under the direction and
supervision of a Licensed Nurse (RN or LPN). Performs duties to
meet the personal care needs of residents, performs limited nursing
techniques, observes and reports resident conditions, and services
residents in a manner consistent with the Resident Bill of Rights.
