CNA - Long Term Care - Child Center at Providence Non-RN - Oregon summary: This position is for a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) working night shifts in a long-term care unit at Providence Child Center, Portland. The CNA provides basic nursing care to medically fragile pediatric and adult patients, assisting with daily living activities under the supervision of a licensed nurse. The role emphasizes compassionate, resident-centered care within a supportive interdisciplinary team environment. Description CNA – Long Term Care at Providence Child Center in Portland, Oregon. This posting represents a full time night shift position. Hours are 7pm-7:30am (3, 12 hour shifts), with rotating weekends and holidays. Our Long-Term Care unit within the Child Center has a total of 46 beds, serving both pediatric and adult patients. Each CNA cares for approximately 7 residents on day shift, and 11 on nights. We care for a unique and diverse population of medically fragile individuals, ranging from children with complex developmental and neurological conditions to adults with chronic illnesses and disabilities. Some of our residents require long-term ventilator support, tracheostomy care, and all require some assistance with activities of daily living. Lyra Caregiver Assistance program- Up to 25 counseling or coaching sessions per eligible member per year The CNA performs basic nursing care functions and other duties under the direction and supervision of a Licensed Nurse (RN or LPN). Performs duties to meet the personal care needs of residents, performs limited nursing techniques, observes and reports resident conditions, and services residents in a manner consistent with the Resident Bill of Rights.
