Previous charge experience preferred. - Experience with diagnostic
cardiac cath lab. - Experience with IABP placement/removal and
Impella insertion. - Experience with interventional cardiac cath
lab and percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI). - Ability to
scrub and maintain a sterile field. - Experience with transcatheter
aortic valve implantation/replacement (TAVI/TAVR) and mitral clips.
Description: The Cath Lab Tech performs a variety of technical
functions and patient care activities intraprocedure. The primary
function of the Cath Lab Tech is the operation of fluoroscopy in
the Cath Lab. Additional responsibilities include monitoring
procedures, scrubbing procedures, unit development projects, and
assisting with supply and equipment management. Other duties may be
assigned as needed. Cath Lab staff may be cross-trained to support
electrophysiology (EP) procedures. The Cath Lab Tech may be trained
to assist in transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) and
transcatheter mitral valve replacement (TMVR) procedures. The
competent Cath Lab Tech should have experience with complex
procedures. Experience with complex PCI, Impella, or balloon pump
procedures is essential. Candidates need to be able to scrub for
TAVRs and mitra clips. The role includes preparing supplies,
setting up scrub tables, draping patients, and scrubbing in with
the physician for venous and arterial access. The Cath Lab Tech is
also responsible for running x-ray equipment and preparing patients
