Job Description Gastroenterologist (ERCP/EUS a plus) Specialty:
Gastroenterology Location: Hillsboro, OR Start Date: 1/1/2026 End
Date: 3/15/2026 (with specific blocks listed below) Employment
Type: Locum Tenens 1099 Schedule & Coverage Coverage Type:
Scheduled No Call Shift Times: 8:00 AM 5:00 PM (clinic & endoscopy,
closed major holidays) Blocks of Coverage Needed: Jan 1 Jan 18 Jan
27 Feb 12 Feb 28 Mar 15 Daily Structure: 4 hours in Endoscopy 4
hours in Clinic Work Details Setting: Acute Care Hospital
(inpatient outpatient split) Practice Setting: Gastroenterology
Patient Load: 16 patients/day, including consults Group: 4
Physician GI group, with APP support during weekdays; solo coverage
on nights/weekends Procedures Required: Colonoscopy Liver Biopsy
Esophageal Dilatation/Manometry & Interpretation Sigmoidoscopy
Lower GI Endoscopy Upper GI Endoscopy (diagnostic & therapeutic,
PEG placement, foreign body removal, variceal banding/injection,
cautery, fulguration of bleeders) ERCP/EUS: Not required, but
preferred . Higher rates may be considered for candidates with
these skills. EMR: Epic Credentialing Timeframe: days Requirements
Board Certification: Required State License: Oregon (client willing
to license ; can start credentialing while license is in process)
DEA: Required Certifications: BLS/ACLS (standard hospital
requirements) Experience: Prior inpatient gastroenterology
coverage; ERCP/EUS a plus Compensation & Logistics Travel: Covered
(airfare, lodging, rental car)
