Job Description Description Surgical Technician - Labor and
Delivery at Providence Portland Medical Center. This is a part
time, DAY shift position with rotating weekends, holidays, and

differential – $ 2.25 p/hr - Night shift differential – $4.00 p/hr

The Providence retirement program consists of employer match and
discretionary contributions that work together with your pre-tax

retirement. Works closely with all members of the surgical team to
provide direct patient care in an effort to optimize positive
surgical outcomes. Assists the surgeon and surgical team during the
procedure by providing the appropriate sutures, supplies,
instruments and equipment. Maintains proper sterile technique

Acceptable education requirements include one of the following: -
Completion of a surgical technology program accredited by the
CAAHEP or ABHES and holds an active certification by the NBSTSA,
JCAHPO, or NCCT. - Completion of a training program in a branch of
the armed forces or in the Public Health Service Commissioned Corp
and who completed 16 hours of continuing education every two years.
- “Grandfathered” based on work experience in an ASC, hospital, or
federal government agency between January 1, 2014 through January
1, 2017 only and who complete 16 hours of continuing education
