Fourth Plain Blvd, Vancouver, WA 98661 Local candidates only Pay Rate $49.21 per hour Shift Information 8-, 9-, or 10-hour shifts available Shifts will vary based on facility needs Assignment Overview The MRI Technologist will perform high-quality magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) procedures in a hospital setting in support of Veteran patient care. This assignment requires strong technical skills, strict adherence to MRI safety standards, and recent hospital experience. Key Responsibilities Perform routine and advanced MRI exams, including head, spine, chest, abdomen, pelvis, and extremities Operate superconductive MRI systems using established protocols Ensure patient safety and compliance with MRI safety and screening procedures Prepare and position patients appropriately for imaging studies Verify patient identity and explain procedures clearly Monitor patients during examinations and respond to changes in condition Maintain accurate documentation in electronic medical record systems Perform routine equipment checks and maintain a clean, safe work environment Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams Participate in on-call rotation and after-hours imaging services as required Requirements ARRT (MR) certification — Magnetic Resonance required (ARRT (R) alone will not be accepted) Minimum 2 years of MRI experience Recent hospital-based MRI experience (Must have worked in a hospital within the last 6 months) Current AHA BLS certification Ability to float between Portland, OR and Vancouver, WA campuses Credentialing After Selection MMR vaccine or titer Hepatitis B vaccine or titer Varicella vaccine or titer TB skin test, bloodwork, or chest X-ray Flu shot Must initiate VA background screening within 72 hours of selection
