Legacy Health, a leading non-profit health system located across Oregon and Washington, is currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Chaplain Associate-On-Call to join our dynamic community services team. In this role, the successful candidate will provide spiritual care and emotional support to patients, families, and staff across our diverse health facilities. The Chaplain Associate will work on an on-call basis, responding to the needs of the community as they arise, ensuring alignment with our mission of promoting healing and providing comfort across all faiths and beliefs. Provide spiritual support and pastoral care to patients, families, and staff irrespective of religious affiliations or beliefs. Respond to emergency calls for spiritual support during crises or end of life situations. Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to integrate spiritual care into overall healthcare management. Facilitate or arrange religious services and rituals as requested by patients or their families. Maintain detailed records of patient interactions and care provided. Assist with ethical consultations and decision-making processes within the healthcare environment. Strong empathetic and interpersonal skills Excellent communication skills both verbal and written Ability to work sensitively with diverse populations in various emotional states Proficient in crisis intervention and providing emotional and spiritual guidance Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Board Certification from the Association of Professional Chaplains (APC) or eligible to receive certification within one year of hire. Endorsement by a recognized religious/spiritual authority.
