Legacy Health, a leading non-profit health system, is seeking a dedicated Pharmacist to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the safe and efficient distribution of medications and health counseling at our state-of-the-art facilities. The Pharmacist will utilize their deep knowledge of drug administration and health education to foster a healthier community. At Legacy Health, we pride ourselves on our supportive work environment and commitment to innovative healthcare solutions. Dispense drugs prescribed by physicians and other health practitioners. Provide information to patients about medications and their use. Advise physicians and other health practitioners on the selection, dosage, interactions, and side effects of medications. Review prescriptions to assure accuracy and suitability of prescribed medications. Supervise and manage pharmacy support personnel. Verify that the pharmacy complies with all local, state, and federal regulations regarding the storage and management of drugs. Engage in patient education and chronic disease management consultations. Perform wellness and health screenings. Strong understanding of pharmacology and the pharmaceutical sciences. Ability to effectively communicate with patients and healthcare team members. High attention to detail and accuracy. Strong ethical grounding in handling medications and patient information. Proficient in using pharmaceutical software and electronic health record systems.
