Job Description:

Legacy Health is seeking a dedicated Nursing Education and Practice Specialist to join our non-profit health system, renowned for its commitment to exceptional care and education. This role is pivotal in developing and enhancing the competencies of our nursing staff across multiple facilities, including six hospitals and numerous outpatient centers in Oregon and Washington. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and evaluating educational programs and clinical practices that support the professional growth and clinical expertise of our nurses. Develop, implement, and evaluate nursing education programs and initiatives. Collaborate with nursing leadership to assess learning needs and ensure curriculum and content meet those needs effectively. Provide mentorship and guidance to staff to enhance their clinical skills and professional development. Lead the integration of evidence-based practice and research into clinical and operational processes. Coordinate with a variety of healthcare professionals to ensure compliance with current healthcare laws, standards, and practices. Strong ability to teach and mentor Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Proficient in curriculum development and evaluation Ability to effectively manage projects In-depth knowledge of evidence-based practices in nursing Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Oregon or Washington Certified Nurse Educator (CNE) or similar educational certification is highly preferable
