Legacy Health, a respected non-profit health system spread across Oregon and Washington, seeks a dedicated Supplemental OB Hospitalist to join our dynamic team. This role is vital to providing intermittent coverage in our maternity units, ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality healthcare. The OB Hospitalist will collaborate with a team of skilled healthcare professionals to manage the care of pregnant women and their babies during hospital stays. This position calls for a compassionate professional who is prepared to handle a variety of situations that can arise in an obstetric department, working flexible hours to cover shifts as needed. Provide clinical care to hospitalized pregnant patients including assessments, diagnoses, and treatment planning. Manage labor and delivery procedures, including emergency situations such as cesarean sections. Collaborate with obstetricians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records and document patient care services. Advise pregnant women on prenatal health and postnatal recovery. Support the healthcare facility's policies, goals, and objectives. Proficient in managing obstetric emergencies and routine labor and delivery. Strong decision-making skills and ability to handle high-stress situations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Capability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
