Job Description:
Legacy Health, a leading non-profit health organization with
extensive facilities across Oregon and Washington, is seeking a
dedicated and experienced RN Charge Nurse to join our team. This
pivotal role involves leadership and direct care within a dynamic
hospital environment, ensuring high-quality patient care and
fostering a collaborative, supportive atmosphere among staff. The
RN Charge Nurse supervises nursing staff, coordinates clinical
operations, and contributes to nursing practices and patient
outcome improvements. Supervise and schedule registered nurses and
nursing assistants, ensuring adequate staffing levels. Maintain
high-quality care by applying hospital policies and standards.
Assist in the development and implementation of nursing department
policies. Provide direct patient care as needed and assess
patients' health problems and needs. Develop nursing care plans and
maintain accurate medical records. Foster a collaborative
atmosphere that supports team cohesion and professional development
of nursing staff. Communicate regularly with doctors, patients, and
their families, ensuring that all parties are informed of patient
progress and care plans. Manage resources efficiently to ensure a
cost-effective and efficient operation. Strong leadership and
organization skills Excellent communication and interpersonal
skills Proficient in clinical and patient management software
Ability to make quick and accurate clinical assessments Experience
with staff management and development Medical Insurance Dental
Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Registered Nurse
(RN) license in the state of practice Basic Life Support (BLS) /
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification Certified Nurse
Leader (CNL) certification is desirable but not required
