Technician for a travel job in Portland, Oregon. Job Description &

Cardiac Device Technician The Cardiac Device Technician’s primary
role is to perform in-person and remote monitoring of single, dual
and CRT pacing systems, implanted cardiac defibrillators,
pacemakers and implanted loop recorders. This position ensures
excellent care for patients in collaboration with our Cardiac
Device Clinic Team. Daily activities include: Performing in person
and remote cardiac device checks/interrogations; logging on to each
of the remote monitoring device websites, analyzing new device
transmissions, completing remote transmission reports and
communicating any alarm conditions, abnormalities of heart rhythm
or changes in device function to the appropriate cardiologist in a
time-appropriate manner. Documenting patient interactions and
device reads in Epic. Provide Patient Education to patients in
Device Program, Schedule in-person and remote follow-up visits.
Troubleshooting and reprogramming of Medtronic, Saint Jude Medical,
Boston Scientific and Biotronik pacemakers and ICD's. Additional
duties include: maintaining general organization of device clinic
and the follow up schedule, working with the Electrophysiology
Clinic Nurses and Manager to track Device patients effectively, to
bill appropriately, and streamline processes in device clinic to
maximize throughput and reimbursement while maintaining excellent
customer service. This position works closely with the Device
Clinic Nurse, Electrophysiology Physician staff to ensure
appropriate care and follow-up for all Device Clinic Patients.
HCRK/nJob Title - Electrophysiology Tech/nCertifications -
BLS/nRequirements - At least 1 year prior experience performing
remote implanted cardiac device monitoring and technical
assistance/nExperience on how to interrogate and program a
pacemaker or defibrillator/nCCDS Cardiac Device Specialist
