About the jobReminiscent of a European market, our flagship Elephants Delicatessen at NW 22nd has served decades of Portlanders. A top destination for locals and food-loving tourists, it features deli cases, a dessert bar, baked goods, coffee, cocktails, a grill and oven, pizza, wine, cheese and charcuterie, gifts, specialty grocery items, and more. This spot hops during lunch and on busy weekends!The kitchen at our NW 22nd deli turns out some of the most famous dishes in Portland! It is a fun, bustling atmosphere, and a great place to begin your career in the culinary industry. We are looking for a part-time Dishwasher to help keep everything moving. We need someone that can move fast and keep things clean and orderly. You should also love physical work; this job is very fast paced.We need a Dishwasher who can:

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dish room and cleaning supplies and maintain recycling areas.
• Wash all pots and pans, insure perfect cleanliness and sanitized. Return to their proper places.
• Follow daily check-off list efficiently and on time.
• Sweep as needed or on request from management.
• Refill soaps and hand towels as needed in bathrooms.
• Follow bleach bucket schedule (use proper dilution).
• Check full garbage cans throughout shift and take to dumpsters.
• Clean up spills that require mopping.
• Other duties as assignedOther requirements:
  • Positive attitude, team player
  • Proven record of good attendance and punctuality.
  • Updated Food Handlers' Card
