- Succeed as a TeamPOSITION SUMMARYThe successful candidate will
lead, coach, and train the QA department technicians. The right
candidate will participate and lead the daily pass-down meetings to
ensure proper communication is available for the incoming shift.
Guarantee the QA Department is heavily involved and ensuring the
correct production of energy-efficient electrochromic windows.
Coordinate and plan special projects when the need arises.
Awareness of material interactions, extreme attention to detail,
excellent oral/written communication, and the ability to work
independently as a self-motivated and results driven individual are
key attributes of the successful candidate.ESSENTIAL POSITION
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and teach safety first values and apply safety criteria in
the QA Department and all areas of the factory.
- Mentor, & coach the QA Team by promoting a culture of quality
awareness and data collection.
- Mentor Quality/FA Technicians for advancement
opportunities.
- Management of the Quality Lab WO system daily.
- Hands on participation in daily executables: working
supervisor.
- Able to operate and maintain quality lab measurement equipment:
calibration.
- Lead and guide improvement initiatives and improvements across
the QA and FA processes.
- Lead QA/FA Techs to achieve scheduled output targets, FA
throughput, QA Audits, Inspection process and unplanned special
projects daily.
- Maintain staffing levels, training, and development of
associates.
- Participate in new hire interview process.
- Lead and participate in audit corrective action activities
utilizing PHRED Solutions.
- Control of the non-conforming product utilizing control of
non-conforming product procedure.
- Participate in and lead daily shift pass-down meetings.
- Scheduling and leading the QA Techs and FA Techs on daily work
activities.
- Manage UltiPro time and attendance, employee counseling and
annual performance evaluations.
- Lead lab and define daily activity for each shift and
facilitate expectations.
- Ability to communicate process or quality issues to the
production floor when needed.
- Ability to make quality related decisions in reference to
product or process quality.
- Assist in continuously developing inspection instructions and
procedures.
- Order and maintain Quality Department supply inventories.
- Flexibility to perform other responsibilities in the factory as
needed.DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Ideal candidate will have two years of Supervisory experience
in a manufacturing environment with a high level of quality
assurance experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of Quality Management Systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft office.
- Strong understanding of computer techniques, data collection
methods, creating data tables, sorting data, and communicating
results through direct communication and email.
- Excellent organizational and good Interpersonal skills.
- Able to perform well in high pressure situations.
- Must have good attendance.
- Hands-on experience mentoring and coaching in a team
environment.
- Strong leadership skills with demonstrated working Supervisor
approach and attitude.
- Professional and positive approach when leading
others.EDUCATION High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
Preference will be given to candidates with a Bachelors' degree or
